» AMH's training log. Goal, 800+ Raw @100kg. (Go to post)05-12-2014 @ 01:44

I'm interested in your thinking on this too. My initial reaction would be that 100kg is too light... That it lacks specificity to the task at hand. And that, say, 30-40 singles with 150-170 would be more effective. But you must have considered that, so what was your reason for going with 100x1x100?

I'm now completely convinced the over eating thing has almost no benefit for strength, at least for me. Studies I've read support this idea, too. Maintenance or maintenance + 200-300 calories. Anything else just makes me fat, and not noticeably stronger.

what weight is it?

420kg. They went:

Benni 420kg
Koklyaev 410kg
Bolton 405kg
KK 400kg

And Koklyaev narrowly missed 422.5kg

Edit: corrected weights

Yeah, I thought so too. No way that was locked out. Also, Zahir's squat was also about 3-4" high IMO.

Ed Coan on the other hand... buried it.
