Yeah Radz possibly not making it through is something of an upset. Even fewer big pressers in the final! Thor's loving this!

These injuries are helping Thor out and to a lesser extent Shaw. Two big deadlifters out and a big log presser. Also, looks like Oberst is going to struggle to reach the final, too, so that's another big presser possibly gone.

Yeah I think it's a pretty flawed event. Get rid of squat and bring back arm over arm!

Shaw's last KB on Instagram

Edit:

And Oberst
» Best powerlifting coaches ever? Top 5 list? (Go to post)21-04-2015 @ 06:02
1. Boris Sheiko
2. Mike T
3. Dietmar Wolf - CYC's coach. I think he's had some decent success with other lifters, too.

And how about:

4. Marty Gallagher
5. Ernie Lilliebridge Snr.

...In no particular order.

Looks like hall is winning his heat after 3 events, too. 5 reps on the Circus dumbbell?

If all thirty of the guys died now they'd just pay Colin to get the next 30 there next year just to get some footage for Christmas.

The hammers look better than fingals so Loz and thigpens injuries are a necessary evil to ensure that it draws interest with viewers. Same for the other guys.

Colin seems to be on pretty good terms with many of the athletes, though? Find it hard to believe they're that callous. Seems like a pretty cynical way of looking at things.

Given how heavy it all is now, I think the frankly ridiculous comp schedule must be partly to blame, too. Surely 4 comps per year, spaced out, would make much more sense? Something like:

January: Arnolds/Regional comps (no one's doing both)
April: National comps.
July: Europe/Rest of the world comp.
October: Worlds

So frustrating for Hicks. He's looking so strong this year, too.

What happened to Benni?

He's awesome at deadlift for reps, so he'll pick up some points there. Other than the max log he'll do pretty well at everything else, too. Can't remember what his truck pull is like though?

Felix is winning his heat! What a legend.

Could it not be the "other" thing or is that me being silly?

Surely that's got to play a part? Muscles get bigger/stronger than the rest of the body can cope with. If only testing worked I think a lot of the athletes would be up for it, too. Shame it doesn't.

Messing around with some machines. A few squats.... No motivation to train at the moment. It's hard when you're away from normal gym, equipment, people. And not in control of your own diet and stuff.... Looking forward to getting back home.
