Basically, pro Ukraine stuff seems to be being suppressed, and some Russian talking points tentatively echoed

My first thought on that is that they don't know what they're talking about, but like a lot of things today it probably depends on where they're getting their news. I had thought that China didnt approve of the recent Russian actions in Ukraine, what is the coverage like on Chinese news sources?

Yeah, they’re consuming propaganda/heavily censored social media, so that massively sways opinion. The official Chinese position (ie what you see on the media, which is 100% state controlled) seems tentative but more pro Russia position than with Ukraine.

# SSB box squat + 2x chains
80 x 8
90 x 4
80 x 8

# Pause Front Squat
80 x 3
85 x 3
90 x 2 f3

These I’ve been going as low as possible (rounding my back) as I’m very weak at maximal knee flexion

# bottom up Zercher
110 x 5 x 2 sets

Triceps and grip

Up to 170kg on the arm to arm and 110/hand on farmers. Grip gave out. Need to work on grip endurance. 4 working sets

# biceps

# grip stuff

Interesting the mood here in China is very pro Russia going on the offensive, including among totally normal, non-politically engaged people.
» 'WTF?' training equipment (Go to post)04-03-2022 @ 01:51
I could see it as useful for old people or physiotherapy for someone recovering from injury etc. But yes, it looks totally ridiculous!

# deadlift
230 x 3 — PB
220 x 3
210 x 3

# ~16” deadlift
210 x 5 x 2 sets

# 2 x chains/1” deficit dl
120 (chain weight not included) x 5 x 2 sets

# machine back stuff
x 9 sets

# SSB box squat + 2x chains
80 in plates/bar x 8
90 x 6
100 x 1. Failed second rep. Plan was four haha. Legs still fatigued from yesterday + calorie deficit (this week only), I think

# front squat hold/pause front squat
130 x 30s
90 x f… obviously I’m nackered and hadn’t realised it. Was feeling lethargic but not necessarily weak. The 80s last session were easy. Decided to sack off heavy stuff

# partial db leg extensions
Just the stretched part of the movement x 5 sets

# triceps
11 sets various

# single arm ring hangs
3 per hand

Crap session. Oh well, it happens

Ok good to know, thanks. If that sensation is normal I’ll just push through it!

I've got:

Luke, Kieliszkowski, Licis

I was wondering if the lack of reaction by Europe and USA will embolden China to take Taiwan. The Americans sailed through the China straight again yesterday and are on a military mission there today. It's like they want war on two sides of the world.

From what I’m seeing, the SWIFT and central bank sanctions are on a whole different level to what’s happened before?

Last year I made a 90ish stone and it’s now got a bit too easy so I made another. It’s 130-140.

Tried a few picks today (with tacky) and it felt like it was going to pull the skin off my forearms. Not abrasion but like pulling. Is that normal? Anything bad actually ever happen in that regard? Do sleeves help?

Putin hasn't lost anything. The economic sanctions don't matter to him.
The wider world's view of Russia doesn't particularly concern him.
He will eliminate Ukraine as it currently exists because he won't let Nato get that close to his borders.
There is no scenario in which he pulls out before victory is achieved. He will win, it's really just a matter of what shape that victory takes and what it costs.

I don’t doubt he’ll “win”, but it will be a Pyrrhic victory. If you’re right that “The economic sanctions don't matter to him” — his actions suggest you are — then it would seem to be evidence that he’s insane. The jury was still out on that until a week ago. These sanctions are now very, very serious.

Though I’m shooting from the hip here. I’ve not looked much into it in.

Atlas stone
90ish for easy 5 triple extension

140ish with tacky x 6 or 7 pick ups. Could get it to my knees but not load. First time so that’s ok

Sandbags “stone run”
200lb to 60”
250lb to 50”
300lb to 40”

2 runs. Pretty fast and solid

Carries
x 3 runs a bit haphazard but feeling good.

TRX row x 5 sets
Pull ups x 3 sets
DB row x 3 sets
