Thanks, Millsy! Despite not posting very often, I've continued to put together a good run of training and it seems to be paying off.

I've not attempted these replicas for quite a while but I was quite pleased with this lift. The front pin is loaded to 190kg and the back pin totals 150kg. I now need a holiday so that I attempt the actual Dinnie Stones.

AMH_Power said:Paul, long levers make a bigger deadlift than being short... Also add me to the list of people that would love to see you 240 front squat. At the minute, the only strength I can relate to is your grip which is impressive. However, ive not seen anything else from you to indicate you are any closer to your goal. A 240 front squat is a pretty big deal if you ask me, i think you should just silence all thw doubters. I know you have a bad foot, but the loads you handle in work dont seem worse, and as much as i want to believe you can do it, i know we will never see it I think that video evidence of, let's say, a 220 kg front squat (to depth) would silence most of the doubters.

If Sugden is at 'death's door', this log must be regarded as its life support machine.

Thanks, Millsy ![]() Sparrow said: Strong pressing Pete, I bet you're well pleased with that? How are the jerks going? Cheers, as I said, it was a goal for (probably) too long but now that it's ticked off I'm chuffed to bits - I still want to get much stronger though. I've hugely improved my strict pressing too but I've not done much split jerking recently. |
