Average front squat session

Wank shoulder pressing. Just cant get comfy with an olympic bar as opposed to the axle. Wrists hurt, back hurts leaning back.

Need to get the shoulders built up now elbow is on mend but still holding me back a fair bit Unhappy

thanks mate. progress feels slow but thats probably me being impatient. I think the problem is that my speed and strength have increased alot but my grip progress is slow. if I could hold onto the bas***ds long enough I think I could put up some semi respectable times.


Just a thought mate but when i watched your vid, when you pick up the farmers the front end dips forwards.

IME with the farmers (which isnt great) ive found that picking them up with my hands further forwards on the handles so the back end dips down is much less taxing on the grip and makes the turn easier

May be totally wrong but has worked for me

Hi Paul.

Look at the thread axle bar that i posted up. Loads of useful info.

I used a 7ft scaffold bar, with scaffold clips on to stop the plates sliding into the middle of the bar.

I bought some David Horne wheel/axle converters for my wheels as they were a bit loose on the bar when i put them on. 35 and cheaper than an axle bar.

The olymic plates and spring collars will fit on fine. A scaffold bar is 48mm not 50 so a bit of duck tape on the bar where the plates sit will make it nice and tight.

Mine is solid and great to use
