Not sure I'm reading right but looking through the last few pages of your journal, it looks like your pretty much only lifting singles? Is there a reason behind this? ...and whats this 161,171. Hi guys, Good to meet some of you at SSM 2009. As promised starting my log on here. Bit of background info on me, started in the gym at 19 like the usual clueless muppet. 6 years later I started training stongman (June 07) when it became quite apparent my earlier years training probably could have been better. Thankfully under the watchful of Narc & Al at Devon Strongman I’m glad to say I’m a lot more clued up and despite always learning think I’ve got a good idea what works for me training wise. Immediate goals are to get fitter, loose a bit of puppy fat, get more flexible (really crap, currently have a locked left hip), and continue to strengthen core. Think my general strength is already there or there abouts and I seem to get stronger by not focusing to hard on it. I firmly believe many people over train, and to some my training sessions may look a little lazy, but I’d like to think the results speak for themselves. First session back after SSM 25/02/09 Front Squat 60kgx5 100kgx5 125kgx3x5 (Failed 5th of 3rd set, not sure what happened) Paused Bench 60kgx10 100kgx10 120kgx3x7 Good Morning’s 60kgx8 80kgx8 90kgx8 100kgx8 Leg Swings BWx4x10 Rotary Cuff Work | |||
