A pressig day sounds a bit body builder like to me.

Push / pull every sesh with a Bb and very infrequently Db's is the winning formula for me.

One of the guys I train with has been told (so he says) that the 105's is now closed for entry? If so can we see a competitors list pretty please?

I read it! There should be no confusion! Axle's in proper comps are never allowed on the belt! Would people turn up at a comp expecting to use straps on farmers?

...or straps on car holds Wink

I see your point in opens, but let's face it, it's easy for the big boys to say no resting on a belt because the majority of you have a nice power belly for the axle to sit on. How many 105's have a power belly? If them's the rules so be it, but it seems a little short sighted... just my opinion.

I'll probably just do my belt up a notch so I have some sort of purchase for the axle to sit on.

Shall I bring a couple of quid to give to Tim the Tramp? He may want a cuppa tea!!

The tramps training hasn't been going great of late, he's been injuried for what seems like forever... he might be half tempted by this comp though. So bring your spare change.Grin

I hope these supersetting heroes were doing them in a mirror and preferaby in the squat rack... that's what real men do I've heard.

i thought you had to lift at your divisional even if you had already qualified?
bdfpa southern counties in jan
bdfpa British in march
and hopefully
Europeans in may
worlds in november

The europes, and worlds will be cool as! I hope to do these one day, sadly my money needs to go towards other stuff at the mo. My division had a mid-season meet in July, I qualified then. I think if you have a word with the right person they'll let you lift anyway - providing you can lift over the qualifying weights.

What comps have you got planned this year?

Pulled out of the SW BDFPA meet in a couple of weeks. Will still do the British end of March,. Going to do the South Qualifier for the U105 BSM. Might do the Natural strongman comp in August too. That will probably be it.

What's your plans?

Squatting 3 times a week makes my glass back shatter. For the boys squatting three times a week are you on Smolov?

Basically there is no right answer... try one of the routines if it works, stick with it, when progress slows move onto another.
