Work hours all over the shop. So grabbed an early sessiob at pts.

Pull through 3x12 @ 30kg

Inverted row on the football bar. 5x8

Football bar curls 3x12 @25kg

Grip training 5x10seconds @ 100kg

Paused 85 x 2, 95 x 2, 105 x 2, 115 x 1
couldnt get a double on the 115kg!! after throwning my toys and dummy out of the pram i hit a PB of

W/S 5 x 5 @ 100

2)Football Bar Bench
75x8, 75x11, 75x11

3) Military Press
3 x 8 @ 50

4) Inverted Rows 5 x 10 bought my legs in to get more reps in..

overall a poor early part to the session which improved on the 5x5 bench sets.

marks wrote me a new more structured programme with rest days built in. hopefully this will see me benching 125kg in the next few weeks and squatting 190kg not long after.

Dumbell seated shoulder press

Sandbag hip thrust to throw 45kg 5x5

Lat raise 4x10 @9kg.
Front raise 4x10@9kg

things were a bit tight in the Anderton training facility today. with mark, molly and tristan. no sign of my son though who is perfectly built for powerlifting but preferes to just join us afterwards for sausages and tea.

after having a cold for the week i was glad to get a decent session under my belt.

1) Bench Press
W/U to 60 x 5
Paused - 82.5 x 2, 92.5 x 2, 102.5 x 2, 112.5 x 2
W/S 5 x 5 @ 97.5

2) Football Bar Bench
70 x 12, 80 x 9, 90 x 9

3) Inverted Rows
4 x 6

4) Pendlay Rows 3 x 8 @ 80

overall a good session that saw mark and me bench heavier than we have before in training. Molly had her first go at benching and did an easy 5x5 at 22.5 kg working mainly on form. tristan hit a PB deadlift of 100kg.

1) Bench
W/U to 60 x 5
Paused - 80 x 2, 90 x 2, 100 x 2, 110 x 2
W/S 5 x 5 @ 95

incline press 2X9 at 70kg

2) Shoulder Press - Football Bar
Work up to a reasonable triple, did 40 x 5, 50 x 5 to warm up then did 60 x 3, 70 x 3 singles, and push pressed 80 x 3.

3) Inverted Rows (neutral grip using football bar) 5 x 6 followed with lat shrugs.

4) Pendlay Rows 5 x 5 @ 75

Had a father daughter day today oh and her boyfriend.

She wanted to train with me so off we went down to PTS Northampton for a bit of fun.

Molly weighed in at a mighty 53kg, tristans around 70kg and Im heavier than both of them together.

We started with some squats as neither of the juniors have done so before. Mainly working on form, nice a deep (finch levels)

Tristan did 5x5 at 40kg, Molly 5x5 at 25kg,

I worked through some light squats 60x5, 100x5, 120x3, 140x3

Then we just played with the sleds, prowlers and tyres for a bit before I got them doing deadlifts

This finished with Molly hitting a PB of 70kg and Tristan pulling an easy PB of 90kg

They both loved the session and hopefully I'll be able to get them both down to the farm at some point.

I was tidying the garage after messy mark and Tristan left all the weights out Sunday. So I used the opportunity to grab a quick bench session

Bench press

60x5, 80x5, 80x10, 80x10, 80x10, 80x10, 80x10

Close grip neutral press Swiss bar

55x10, 55x10, 55x10, 60x10, 60x10

Overhead swiss bar tricep extensions.

25x10, 30x10, 30x10, 30x10

Enjoyable session with tidying between sets. Swiss bar (football bar) was a fantastic investment.
