Duck tape, get good stuff though as one week we used cheap crap and it was rubbish and only lasted a few stones.

Hey Craig, just wanted to confirm you got my cheque last week?

To be honest I think it was the leftover tacky on the stone pulling my skin off more than the stone itself

Possible stupid question but I take it the sleeves are allowed in comps? Thanks for that terry by the way, nice strapless deadlift the other day. You animal!

Cheers for answers everyone. Think I'll have to get involved with some of those sleeves. It's not just the skin coming off, the tacky is a real b**ch to get off afterwards! I was wondering if someone would tell me to man up!

I'm totally new to strongman. Done a couple of event training sessions and got a couple of novice comps booked. Just wondering if anyone had any advice on what to wear on your forearms when lifting stones? I was training with them today and by the end I couldn't concentrate on lifting the stone properly because I was distracted by the skin being ripped off my forearms! Read somewhere that sports tape is good. Any / all suggestions welcome. Thanks!
» deadlift and squat same day (Go to post)26-02-2013 @ 22:30
I found doing them both on the same day worked well. Twice a week. Really helped my strength. Squats first though. Doing deads first can cause your lower back to be too weak to support the weight your reasonably fresh quads can handle, which is where you risk injury.. As i discovered!

This may seem a stupid question. But is there a time limit on the log and Dead lift? Or is it until you can't do any more?
