Can Lloyd Renals not help you out?

Good luck anyway man. I understand; had to fill in my brother's forms for blood works for a fight he had recently & it was so damned complex. I can't imagine how much is needed for your comp.

» arched back when deadlifting (Go to post)21-02-2014 @ 15:52
I always get a little frustrated when I know people are watching at my gym. Nothing big but the olympic rack only has 200kg plates and it's dead centre of the gym.
All the anorexics do their bicep curls and watch me in the mirror and one dude did tell me "Mate, you want to keep your back straight" (shortly after his clean & jerk bicep curls with the 5s)

So I asked him to show me because my form was fine. He refused.
Effectively his approach told me that even by correcting his observation, he wouldn't listen because he'd decided he was correct. My shoulders were rounding and my lats curving around but that lower back was solid.
It's like the Youtube coaches and that irritating "snap city" quote. They have no understanding of physiology or even know what it actually feels like to life "safe", even whilst you look a bit skewiff.

I even understand that hitching MAY not be quite as dangerous as it seems if you know how to.
» Mariusz Pudzianowski vs Oli Thompson (Go to post)20-02-2014 @ 16:33
Hang on. Did I say "easy"? Over 2 rounds and obvious Pudz biased judging it may end up a draw.
» Mariusz Pudzianowski vs Oli Thompson (Go to post)20-02-2014 @ 16:32
This fight will be a comfortable win for Oli. It might end up the distance but Oli's skillset is more smooth & I would say he's toughter then Pudz.
We know Oli didn't cut it in the UFC but that doesn't make him a bad fighter. Bearing in mind Mariusz was a terrible fighter and is improving; Oli had a much better transition and has a decent game.

Oli by cardio!
» Poundstone Retired? (Go to post)20-02-2014 @ 14:33
I like people like Poundstone; that raw strength I never thought would threaten the outright strongest but he was explosive and aforementioned - good for reps.
I'd put him in the same sort of category as Pudz, Radzikowski & Svend Karlsen, for being sort of smaller, a little quicker & more explosive. Shame he never quite pulled it off in the World's though.

I hope he retires with full health; he's still younger than me & I'm just training now Grin

coo storwy bwo!

This thread is hotter than a Viking forged dildo.

Great feedback & difference of opinion. At least I know it can be done & you can still make SOME kind of gain or improvement, even if it takes extra hard work.

Actually no, I am contracted to work 217 days a year. Of the 17 days 'holiday' that i have contractually had since 1st September 2013, I have worked 9 of them. I also tend to work on Sundays (my only 'day off' a week for half of the year).
But your point was?

haha. I love watching a crap bit of trolling get shot down.

So I'm hitting 200 for my deads for 3 reps+ for my maximum working set.
I got here by cutting out deadlifting on the same day as squats.
I just canny handle it man.

I'm really happy too with strict pressing 100kg for shoulders.
I believe that seated machine assistance played its part, though I don't want to admit it.

Squats are slowly slowly improving, in miniscule increments. Yet, I think they are now my favourite exercise.

I just don't want to be the one who chose a career path to completely spite his personal interests.

I want a 300kg deadlift before I die.

Not to moan or care about the length of a working day but this is more for people who lift heavy & work long days:

How do you manage to fit in your shi7 breaks & food consumption if you do 12 hour shifts?

I'm asking because I'm going to try and get into the food industry - cooking or cheffing it up (hopefully) in the coming 12 months. I'm brain dead disillusioned in my current office job.

Any chefs here? Working long days & managing to get your training in?

In my gym, I'm "moderately" impressive because I deadlift over 200kg.
But, under 90's do that for reps.
However, it's unfair to judge me and my awesome physique because I've only really been strength training for the goal of strength over the last year.

At what point does a tall man lifting heavy weights become impressive?
Is tall a disadvantage (whilst starting out) when compounding, due to long limbs?

It's inevitable I will be 140kg when I'm pretty damned strong but I suspect I won't be fat.
