Cheers for all of you guys!!

07.10.09 Today was viper log time..and some not so known move to me..BTN jerk!!Happy

Viper with 10" log:

8 x 45kg,
8 x 75kg,
5 x 95kg,
2 x 7 x 110kg

BTN jerk:

5 x 60kg,
5 x 90kg,
3 x 115kg,
3 x 130kg PR
3 x 140kg PR

..and that was it for today. Viper's first heavy set was from arse because I know that if I would have had the same burning feeling inside my head that I had during the second set I would have gotten ten reps. Next time then ey..
Then I did some BTN jerk which if haven't done almost at all. Pretty satisfied with my result there. Little bit more concentration and my neck wouldn't be so sore now.. Altogether I'm satisfied..

Due to some pressure I was thinking about starting a journal here as well..hope that my English will be good enough and that you'll enjoy reading this!

A little backround info about me:
I'm 27 years old. I live in a row house with my wife and two kids. Town that I live is Pori and country of course is Finland.

I'm 177cm tall and my weight is currently around 102-104 k.

I've been training strongman for about 3,5 years and before that just plain gym training for about 8 years with a couple of longer breaks.

I think that's about it..if you have anymore questions I'll be more than happy to give you an answer if I have one.. Happy ..and off we go..

05.10.09 starting a deadlift program used by Ortmayer and Magnusson..

Deads:

4 x 4 x 197.5,
2 x 230,
8 x 197.5
+
some condition work out for my lower back..

That was it for the day. My back felt a little tired/sore for what reason I don't know. I'm happy I got the program through although I had little calculation problems. The weight in the heavier sets was supposed to be 225 not 230. Noticed it after the first set but didn't want to go low because it felt ok. Happy I'm going to double this week because I want to be prepared for 90% deads when they come in..

It was an awful weather today in Pori..just before we started event training it rained a bit..and after we we're starting to warm up..it started to rain more..
So we didn't get a chance to do more than truck pull today.
