He later told me that he had fought tougher men but he really couldn’t remember when as he both kicked like a mule and bit like a crocodile. He heard him laugh and then he heard him cuss and he went for his gun but he pulled his first. He stood there lookin’ at him and he saw him smile. His father then went on to explain why he had named him Sue in the first place, and whilst he had a greater understanding of the theory behind it, he remained unimpressed. He ended with a reassurance that if he himself had a son, he would call him Bill or George, indeed anything but Sue, as he still hates that name.
