Could you not get the same results with just a lower Calorie diet?

Almost certainly mate. I find it works for me as its easier for me to control when I eat rather than when to stop if that makes sense. I enjoy pigging out so for me it's the best of both worlds. The price I pay is I only get to do it once a day, which for me is a good trade off.
I tend to not have non fast days so I'll stick with it until I'm at target weight then start to add in smaller meals through the day.

How do Pete. Do you know which aspect(s) of not getting to the gym is/ are making you unhappy? Is it the not training, missing the routine, the company or the piss taking for example? Pining for an conversation with the Turnermator, or being forced to sniff one of big Phils onion farts? If you can think about what it is then maybe you can start to consider temporary replacements until Boris lets us all out for good behaviour?

Whatever it is that is making you unhappy it isn't wrong, and good on you for being honest with yourself about it. You're certainly not alone in that. Take it easy man.

It's early days and you have to find what works for you, but I always eat after training (I think most OMAD do)

That said, life gets in the way so you got to do what you do. Give it 2-3 weeks and if you're losing keep doing it. If not try something different.Happy

I had a dream that Kamala Harris sat on my face for a proper good muffin the other night. After about a half hour she stood up without saying a word, pulled on her power suit trousers and went about her business.

when did you have your one meal Andy?

Probably around the 8-9pm area. This allowed me to get in a weight session of some description and eat straight after. Again that session didn't feel fatigued at all.

From what I've experienced I think we all over egg how much skipping/ postponing a meal affects us. Probably won't sit well with many on this forum which I get, but I'd say if you're interested in the effects give it a go. Easy enough to have a butty if it isn't for you.

Going for my 1m k certificate this year JW. Seen big Shawn got his and it made me want one. Feel like I want a T-Shirt as well. I'm off to a slow start, with 1m k to go. Where the mind goes the rower follows.

TEAMBOAR***

ps do we have TEAMBOAR T-Shirts? Should we have? How many are we?

I lost the bulk of my bulk last year following OMAD. Not particularly because of the IF benefits (of which their seem to be several) but because I found it less tempting for small meals to become big ones through the day. It was also easier for me to work out a daily diet and stick to it by eating it all in an hour. Wasn't particularly difficult after a time and I only stopped it as I hit target weight and didn't want to keep dropping.

I work with a Nigerian guy who fasts regularly for 48 hours, and has told me that he has done 14d a couple of times in the past without any adverse effects. I mention that he is Nigerian as I suspect that this may be a cultural thing, but his accent is so strong that I can't understand him, and I've asked him twice now. It isn't for sport or religion. Reading up on the benefits of autophagy and it does look interesting.

EDCLARKE said:given that coronavirus seems to hit Bigger people harder and power lifting and strongman encourage you to gain weight , anyone considered loosing a bit of timber for the sake of health ?

Yep, almost immediately, as soon as the bad outcomes for heavier people reports came out. It was on the cards anyway so it all fell into place for me. 235lb end of March, 195lb now. 8" of waist gone, heading towards 15%bf. I may drop to 187 in 2021 to make the old light heavy class. I was that weight as a teen so at 50+ it's nice to still be there abouts, but there won't be no comeback.
I did get rushed into hospital in the summer as the GP and nurse shat themselves whilst I was having my old age MOT and thought I was having a heart attack of some description. Several hours of tests later and the head cardiologist asked me if I do any exercise and from that point the penny began to drop with them. All part of life's experiences. Bottom line, I wasn't having a cardiac and was told to keep doing what I was doing. result.

I think they would fight over you Ed. They do me.

In recent times I've pondered whether following the Saturdays instead of girls aloud would have helped leg strength. I was so wasted in the 00's it probably wouldn't have mattered.
