If u can honestly tell me his knees r locked out at the start ill ignore the depth

Read my post again, I never questioned his legs being locked and finish was poor and not strong, however with nearly 900lbs on his back...maybe give the guys his dues, he could probably squat what the best on here could with perfect form and legally, so with the added extra, hats off to him for attempting to lift progressively heavier, his dead's arn't text book either but Ed Coan passed it so must be in lol

As for depth, its been said before, he does what he has to do....Ive seen Stan's tbh and I think majority are good, not IPF standard but why squat low as poss when he doesn't need to?

I know the SPF sanctioned meets get a lot of stick in general (a fair bit justified) but credit where credits due, that's still insane weight on all 3 lifts, someone always has to pick faults, yet the person picking faults is never in the same class as the picked upon ffs.

Its more "legs" than back though...so why not class it as a leg exercise.....

Your meant to push feet out and squat/push off with legs/hips then thrust hips forward to lockout.......arms are just levers and besides back/traps/lats being used to take the slack.......very little back IMO.

Macca stilled repped well over 200kg even badly...

Think u need a good rest up mate tbh and just get right so u can buckle down and train ur arse off for Russia, might end up putting you back soldiering on, I know its not in your mindset to have a lay off but is been a couple of weeks now mate, maybe plenty of veg powder, glutamine and vitamin c, as in mega dosing, plus the fish oil too, always seems to bring me round.

I fully agree, Laura is a strong lady for sure but those squats were a disgrace to powerlifting tbh....or more to the point the judging is....I remember the spf gave Dave Hoff a WR squat and then it turned out the bar was mis-loaded, he said he didn't want the record but the SPF refused to acknowledge the mis-load lol

» ram, sling shot or ballista (Go to post)29-03-2013 @ 11:15
Good to use to build lock out power really as it will help rebound from the chest with much heavier weight than your used to, a lot have sticking points 3-4" off the chest and this will aid that portion of the lift IMO.

I have a super ram and use it even for close grip full rom reps.

Just anther tool, suppose kind of like using boards but you get a full rom rep.
