Guy I train with has been off since before Xmas, he hasn't lost that much strength in squat or deadlift. His pressing is down fair bit tho

Not usre being a doorman takes guts TBH. Last time I had "hassle" with some doormen, there was 6 of them...and me! Wouldn't say there is much "guts" involved from them in a situation like that!

Works both ways. I have seen four or 5 bouncers struggle with one man, I have also seen 4 or 5 bouncers try to handle 10 or 15, suppose works both ways and depends on the individuals.

so true you can teach someone health and safety ,crowd control, cctv, radio,CPR and many other thing taught on the SIA course but one thing they neglect to discuss and something you cant teach is 'guts' for 500 pounds and thats the problem !!!

Door man I worked with was a crazy mother f**ker, he would put his head were most wouldnt put their feet, its definitley a gutsy job, When the adreniline is going, you dont really feel pain much anyway, not till morning after lol

agreed.
Fork £500 to earn crap money at unsociable hours with risk of getting into scuffs.
alot better things to invest £500 in trust me. Unless u have a decent job lined up with good pay and plenty of hours its just not worth it.

I agree with this, The amount of s**t You listen to is not worth it, hard trying to keep a calm head when some wee f**k is in your face. Only thing worse than a drunk man, is a drunk woman. The amount of fights and bother that women cause is unreal!

They certainly are mate, esp the squat and bench press.
Many guys never achieve a 140 bench.
And a 200 squat with no suit or wraps is excellent lifting for anyone weighing under 100kg (it's actually an excellent squat, full stop). I still have that one to do and I've been squatting for years.

I agree, I have always been a pretty decent at benching, so never had a had a problem getting to 3 plates, Squats a different story for me Tongue

Could see both you and Savickas hitting that target pretty soon

Wiegieboard said:My Lifetime goals will be a lot more modest than probably all of you folks on here. I can eat as much as men much bigger than myself and sleep 10 hours a day but I fight hard for every kilo gained in any lift.

By the end of my life I want to.

SQUAT
200kg

BENCH
140kg

DEADLIFT
227.5kg

OVERHEAD PRESS
100kg

Thats still an impressive goal to aim for, trust me there are a lot of strong guys on this site, some of the strongest in the entire country, you go to most gyms, you will not see all that many hitting them numbers. They are good targets for anyone.
