I see youre sticking to the heavy singles approach!

I can't help it! I did have one (unpleasant) session of reps. I'm deliberately using weights heavier than the comp weight, so that on the day the axle SHOULD feel light.

Good luck with the goals, and I hope you get the knee sorted.

my speciality.

what a f**king speciality to have Unhappy

You ever done it in a comp, Joni?

It's even rarer than my speciality (silver dollar).

I've done forward hold a few times (which incidentally is a crap event for me), but never crucifix.

A good time is around 60 seconds

I'd say 60 seconds would be a very good time with 15Kg per hand.

Big overhead mate.

Thanks.

Trained with Joseph Walton today. My back muscles were still sore from Tuesday's session, so training was a bit tentative.

AXLE CLEAN & PRESS

Due to back soreness I decided to do these in the rack starting from around knee height, so I'd still have to clean the axle but wouldn't have to lift it from the floor.

70 - power clean & 3 strict presses
70 - power clean & 3 strict presses

Continental clean and push press from here...

101 x 1
121 x 1
126 x 1 - EASY!!

At this point Joseph arrived... late Grin

131 x 1 - took 3 attempts to press it - what a battle!

AXLE STRICT PRESS (continental clean at start of each set)

101 x 1
101 x 1
101 x 1
103.5 x 1

TYRE FLIP

After demonstrating my technique to Joseph, I did 3 sets of 3 flips. Easy.

STONES

Low platform

100 x 1 - without tacky - demonstrating technique to Joseph!
130 x 1
130 x 1

High platform

110 x 1
110 - failed but then got it on 2nd attempt.

Nice to meet you today, Joseph. Good jerk technique on axle, and you got the hang of the stones really quickly Happy
