I didn't see Ben's arm over arm. In fact, I didn't see many people's attempts at anything. I was too busy dying!!

bavarian deadlift.

That would suit you, Joe. Sumo dead lift with a shrug at the top. It would be physically impossible for me to reach the required height.

Yoke press! OUCH!!

I reckon I'd sit it out if it cropped up in a comp!

Axle clean & press for max
Car dead lift for reps (side handles, high pick-up) Grin
Farmer's walk - heavy over a short distance
Pole push Grin
Truck pull

Oops, forgot to include a medley... never mind! Grin

Your knowledge of tyres is second to none.

Pretty sure Magnus has made about 12 finals? Not sure though!

Out of curiousity anyone (Wayne?) what would be the British record?

I make it 10 finals for Magnus.

Geoff Capes was in 7 (I had to check this, as I'm not quite so hot on pre-1990 WSM!!)

I get slightly irritated by those people who ONLY drive at 35mph, whether it's a 30 limit, 40 limit or a 60 limit, especially when I'm stuck behind them and in a rush.

Also, at what age do people forget that they have 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gears?? I'm intrigued. Must coincide with loss of hearing, because they seem oblivious to the fact that their vehicle is revving to its max!!

Heavy singles seems to carry over to repping events in comps fairly well for me.

Nice little session, Will. I'm having a few days off.

what are you planning to do to improve your conditioning and fitness?

Don't know yet, but I feel it needs to be a gradual process. Initially, go out on my bike more often and put more effort in when I do, and maybe reduce rest times between sets in the gym.

My next comp is St Ives, which is more of a static comp.
