Deadlift 400kg, strict press 400lbs, I also really want to squat 300kg but hopefully that won't take as long as the other two Grin

there is that but the main issue is just the cardio aspect from constant jumping and arm movement combined.

It's amazing what you can learn if you put your mind to it - they're not that hard. They ARE hard work though!

Doing one is easy, its the 50 after that which is the hard part Tongue

Funny, I lower mine to strengthen my back.

Well it works for them! Although I think most of them guys rep touch and go so they lower the bar slowly during those sets

No reason to wait until your lifts go up to train events mate.

17.3.13

Weightlifting today

Warmed up alot, took me ages to get my shoulders loosened up.

Overhead squats
20xalot

Hang snatch
20 5x3
30 3x3
40 3x3

These felt better with abit of weight on, shoulders are still s**t however so progress will be slow and steady.

Split jerk
40 2x5
60x3
80x3
100 2x1
120x1
140x1
145x1 (30kg PB for split jerk lol haven't done these heavy for ages! 5kg overhead PB which is nice)

Front squat last rep of each set paused for 5 count at the bottom
60x5
80x3
100x3
120x3
140x3

Then did some foam rolling and stretching but one of my abs started cramping which is new so I took that a sign to leave, happy with the session.

hifilover said:Massive pulls. Just a shame some of them use straps from the off; they'll never improve grip strength doing that!

Not sure who the lad was at the end that pulled 820 but that's a massive pull for anyone; never mind someone at his weight & age (looked young)!

Like said above; they need to learn to place the weights back... Roll-Eyes

I think he is 21 they're probably dropping weights to save their backs, they lower it in competitions

did you see the documentary about people who do stuff like that? it was very interesting but its not the life for me. if you get your leg stuck in the wheel it will remove it from your person and also theres lots of people who want to stab you for no reason. in addition to this non of the people who did it had access to much food or ever performed squats and/or variations of squats

I haven't seen it, I don't enjoy having my foot torn off my body or getting stabbed, squats and food are possibly my two favourite things.
Hmmmm I might have to give this experience a miss, it sounds way too atrophying for my liking!
