Tuesday Went to a local gym to just do arm over arm and I think i'll stick with this going forward as it's much easier to set-up. Arm over arm 150 5x10m Med ball throw circuit 5kg. Four variations, two sets each. Good day of training that, will enjoy my Tuesdays. | |||

Monday 6/12/23 So started by losing my phone for 40 minutes then getting stuck in traffic so was quite behind for time when I actually got to the gym! Sandbag throw 4.6m 22 6x2 Axle press FTOH 105 3x5 Deadlift 220 4x3 Then set up for arm over arm and the rope snapped! Had to leave stones as just ran out of time. Just a bit of a bad start but the three events I did all felt good tbf and at least I can just use this to ease me in. | |||

Thank you mate! Yes all is well indeed although I've not logged a thing for a while! So quick recap. 4th at Official Strongman England's. I felt very strong but I didn't execute as well as I could have, certainly wasn't a bad performance but not amazing. Big highlight was finishing the four implements on the power stairs, absolutely massive PB there. I definitely fell into overtraining the last few weeks before the comp so had a lot of missed/cut short sessions and I think that cost me a bit in terms of technical work on my events. After that I was into my off season training which has all gone well. I've been doing quite a lot of weightlifting, bouldering, wrestling, Thai boxing. Been good fun and I feel very fit and mobile but next week I'm starting Brits prep so I'll be cutting everything else out. I've got one climbing route I want to tick off though before that! |
