I can't see past Ed though... 500kg deadlift ffs he can't not win lol
Mateusz would be a serious threat if his pull improves, I can see him beating a few big names and getting 3rd.
I have bet a lot of doe on Ed lol

As much as I support Eddie to win I just can't see it, he is not well rounded enough. He does not have the speed or agility. Last year he was let down tremendously on the power stairs for someone with such a big deadlift. Big Z was like a rocket.

Pudianoski was no were near the strongest of his day for example and won on multiple occasions.

I personally think eddie will try and pull too much on the deadlift and he will cramp up for the next 3 events.

The biggest threat to Eddie is he is extremely poor at Kettle bell trow, he will lose too many points in this event. If he seriously wants to win WSM he needs to practice this event. He has the strength/power but need the technique. It the does make the difference between 2nd and 1st.

Seen it, the place just looks crazy, so many benches in there. Don't think it will make me move gyms though.

I do more bodybuilding work than strength but I have a huge appreciation for power/strength sports.

First man to deadlift 400kg at 80kg?

You saw it here first.

Why?

Because I f**kING can, and WILL.

when did you stop feeling weak?

I think this is a negative psychological affect that I have associated with weight lifting.

When I first used to lift, I thought 180kg deadlift was good, when I first started in a commercial gym.

I recently pulled 240kg for a smooth double. 3x my bodyweight. As I know olympic lifters can C&J that. It really isn't that difficult for a 80kg lifter to lift that after a few years of training.

My next goal is road to 300kg DL as I would like to be a member of that club. I currently think this would be strong, jut once I achieve it I will think well that was easy. Now I feel weak.

I don't know If this is because I see 400kg deadlitfs and what not on a weekly basis.

Reading this back I sound insecure, I'm not.

Dan_Evans said:220kg on the bar for deads.

c**t goes to his mate, "pfft. I can do that".

I do a piss easy, fast as f**k speed rep, place it down slowly, then yawn out of boredom.

c**t follows with "...oh".

Besides, I've seen him deadlift, and he can't even deadlift 180kg. Prick.

I can explicitly remember a lad telling me he could deadlift 250kg when he was drunk.

Was in the gym with 220KG on the bar.

He wanted ago, didn't lift 1mm off the floor.

then f**ked off, i carried on.

Wonder what he'd do conventional?

Probably a lot less.

He is pulling on a Texas power bar, that significantly helps the off the floor part of the lift up to 25kg and one off the floor the lock out is the easiest part.
