Deads Sumo
Lots of reps and sets
Calves, hamstrings

First session since the comp, said I was going to tale a week off but got the itches.
Decided I'm going to give sumo deads a proper try due to my persistent lower back issues.
I've watched a few videos on the technique and attempted them tonight but I have quite a bit to learn, I went up to singles at 180 but really shouldn't have as my left hip started to hurt. I need to drop the weight back and allow my muscles and joints the time to adapt to this move.

Shoulders, triceps.

All done feet up, significant discomfort in the right shoulder, not sure what the comp will bring on Sunday.

A planned double was a harder than it should have been single.
Shoulder niggle has pissed me off a bit to be honest.

Shrugs are fine, OH presses moderately painful, lat raises not possible.

Bench was in use so hit the declines first.
The niggle in the previously injured shoulder continues which worryingly pinches a nerve and causes a slight loss of control.

All done feet up.
Possibly one of the best bench sessions in some time, even with a niggle in my previously injured shoulder.
I have been training almost daily since the World's but just not logging it as it's been a bit of a come down to be honest.
Building back up to a local Push and Pull in 2 weeks then take a few weeks to decide what next year will look like.

Probably about 30 kg short of what I wanted and honestly expected on the day.
I was in good shape going into this but made schoolboy errors - didn't have time to wrap properly on 3rd squat, didn't wait for the command on my first bench, judged to have slammed the bar down too harshly on my first lift.
I honestly felt the 235 squat was there on the day and had my first dead been valid I would have jumped straight to the 275 attempt. You live and learn.
