agree with beard of iron - heavy rack pulls with a few higher rep sets thrown in will do wonders for your upper back, add in some face pulls and you're sorted. Don't rate t-bar rows, try prone rows instead, less stress on the lower back and much harder to cheat. | |||

Wasn't expecting great things today after a 17 hour drinking session on saturday/sunday and I was right not to Squats 60/10 100/5 120/5 140/5 160/3 180/ 2x3 ... not happy, these felt heavy!!!! 140/10 dropped to 100/10 dropped to 60/10 Seated leg curl - did a few sets and realised it's a f**king s**t piece of kit Leg Press w/feet together 240k/10 240k/8 190k/15 150k/17 Lying leg curl 25k/ 15, 10 Finished off with some toe press on the leg press Not happy but at least I got in and did something. | |||

Tony no idea where that 110k log came from .. well I do but can't say on a public forum lol. Log is about 10" .... somewhere inbetween the thin and fat log at sugden. | |||

Hi everyone. Thought it was about time I started a journal so here it is. Bit of background. Have trained with weights since I was kid mainly focussing on bodybuilding. After doing two bodybuilding comps last year I've begun to realise that it's time for a change and having been inspired by Tony, Boar and Pagan have decided to give strongman a go. Plan is to do a u105k comp next year. Have trained at Oly Sports Gym a few times so hopefully a few people know who I am. Currently weigh in around 107k so plan is to maintain this and focus on strength (but still look like a bodybuilder lol). 09/09/09 Log 65k/5 85k/3 95k/1 105k/1 110k/3 x 1 95k/5, 3 High incline press (bout 75 degree inc) 100k/8, 7, 6 90k/8 rear laterals and laterals close grip lockouts 120/15, 13, 12 Slight twinge in my forearm from the log but felt good. | |||
