MattF said:In my opinion that is a lot of protein, I calculate it conservatively at about 400grams. There is no need to have a meal with three chicken breasts and four eggs in (IMO). Macro wise I would space out your carbs around training and in the am (as you have done) and also include a bit more fat. 100kg seems a good target weight to work off, so if I were setting out a plan it would be; protein 300g; carbs 200g; fat 60g, giving you a kcal intake of 2520. I would get my carbs from brown rice or oats and veg especially greens (low gl foods). I would have whole protein sources (as you are doing, i.e. eggs, meat, fish) and I would have more fats (fish, Udo's oil etc). Drink a lot and regulary, it will help to supress appetite and the better hydrated you are the better able you are to metabolise fat.

All of the above is just my opinion and obviously you are on the right track having dropped 3 stone already.

This is very good advice.

not sure what you mean Mark? It's just a pic of the farmers handles I have - I included the pic so people didn't think I was misleading them is all.

if you think they're s**t then fair enough.

Chris

You don't need so many warmups on the assistance stuff as you will be warmed up from the heavier work, 1 or 2 sets to get the feel of teh movement and then into your working sets - you are doing way too much volume. You workout (if you want to gain size) should be done and dusted in an hour - hour and 15 max

Just my two cents

Will try and get some pics of the log later - not sure on price, will have a look at what others are going for.

Steel log - 46.5" in length, 30" circumference, 6" loading pins (oly plates) weight approx 40kg. Slightly rusted but nothing some hammerite wouldn't fix.

Farmers handles (standard plates) made by stan pike and are the sames as these iwth 1.5" handles

Open to offers. Buyer would need to be able to collect from Liverpool.

davidhorne said:Hi mate,
Firstly what ever treatment you are having is important to get rid of the scar tissue. I pressume it's some deep massage.

Regarding the tendons, I have to ask which tendons are stretched?
You need to know this, so you know what needs strengthened. Also is that injury healed now? As this is important too, because if not, you will injure it more.

The problems with a gripper is it is one strength, ie. like having one barbell. Is it too heavy or too light! If you were going down the path of a gripper then an adjustable one would be better.

Gripper work stresses the fingers in a crushing move, and out of all grip work is a bit more technical. Grippers may not be what you need.
I don't quite see how something can be 'perfect' if the physio hasn't seen it or used it.

Just trying to help you out.
David

If anyone knows a thing or two about grip it is this man!!

a number 2 is 109lbs

Is it?? I think you'll find it is 195lb.

Gray .. if it is for 'rehab' then I really don't think you need anything like a #2 as you are just looking to provide light stimulation so start off with a trainer or #1 to get a feel for them. As someone else said they are addictive and you'll soon find yourself wanting to move up to the harder ones.

A trainer or a #1 should be more than enough if it is just for rehab work.
