M61 totally f**ked due, apparently, to a fatal crash (can't find any news stories on it, but that was what the radio said) - managed to get off at a junction and spent an hour on the A6 getting home. Hey ho. I got stuck in that for over an hour too.. it was just before the salford junction. I didnt realise it was fatal. Oh, nice one on the deads too ! I guess this means you are not a bench specialist ! | |||

Well done on the 190 PB squat... 2 PB's on the squat in a day is a big ask, so dont worry about it. Im sure your rib will be fine, probably just where your belt has pushed against it on your super deep 200 ! | |||

Didnt get a chance to train thursday 22nd as i had too much uni work to get on with. 23/04/10 Squats 40 * 8 70 * 8 120 * 6 170 * 5 200 * 2 - Suit and Knee wraps on 220 * 2 260 * 2 - straps up 260 * 2 260 * 2 This shoulda been and easy session, but it felt crap. Im struggling to hold the bar because of an injured wrist.. its getting better slowly. But i think ill have to get it seen to. Bench 40 * 15 70 * 10 70 * 10 90 * 8 90 * 8 90 * 8 90 * 8 finished with biceps like always ... crap session... just bin it and move on, they happen ! | |||

Go 110 ? Dont forget, all that water and cutting if gonna leave you tired when it comes to lifting and you will probably start cramping very quickly... Try and get an electrolyte drink for after weigh in, i think they help re hydrate and put salts back into your system... could be wrong though | |||

21/04/10 Weighed myself tonight: 101.8 kg Not too bad. Deadlifts weight/set/reps 40 kg * loads 140 * 2 * 5 180 * 1 * 3 220 * 1 * 3 240 * 3 * 3 All deads felt really heavy, probably due to the fact i went quite heavy on sunday at squads and nearly dying yesterday from pathetic cardio. Hang pulls 180 * 3 * 5 Shrugs 140 * 3 * 15 The intention was to do some benching with a loose shirt after deads... got out my old "loose" shirt and squeezed into it to realise since i have put weight on it is no longer loose, its a 48 rage X... but im pretty sure i have a 50/52 knocking about, so ill look for it to use as my loose training shirt.. Finished with lots of curls, DB, BB and preacher. | |||

20/04/10 Squats highbar raw weight/sets/reps 60 * 1 * 10 100 * 2 * 6 140 * 1 * 6 160 * 1 * 6 170 * 1 * 6 180 * 1 * 6 190 * 1 * 3 200 * 1 * 2 Leg extension Not sure on weight * 3 * 8 - felt quite hard after squats though. CARDIO First time doing cardio since i can remember. Got myself a bleep test and put it on my ipod, didnt really have anywhere to do shuttle runs, so i did it on a treadmill, starting at 2.7mph increasing 0.5 mph per level. Managed level 11 before i was almost dying. Then took it back down to slow pace, caught breath and did a final short run again. Finished after 17.5 min, which plenty for a fat boy like me. | |||

I actually did ok as it turned out we were in happy hour. When the next guy got a round in the beer was back up to full price. That was then Yeah mobile again, got a borrowed car at the moment, mine should be ready tomorrow... but im not holding my breath ! Ill be glad to get it back though, the borrowed car is a petrol and costing a fortune compared to my little diesel. Its funny, i have had several people tell me how expensive it is in norway.... and they always confirm their story with an anecdote about beer ! Who needs a foreign exchange rate, we judge it by the cost of a pint ! | |||

19/04/10 Bench. Bullock arrived the same time as me, so we decided to bench together, both been squads weekend, so little tired. weight/sets/reps 60* 1 *10 80 * 1 * 8 100 * 1 * 5 120 * 1 * 3 130 * 4 * 3 Close grip 100 * 1 * 6 110 * 1 * 6 115 * 1 * 5 120 * 1 * 5 125 * 1 * 3 incline DB press. 20 * 1 * 8 33 * 3 * 6 Finished with some light shoulders and leg raisers for beer gut.. spoke with joe, came to the conclusion im fat. I know this already, but decided i am slightly too fat at the moment.. so cardio starts tomorrow. FUN |
