Back in the gym... slightly less irritated now! Went in to squat but I can't load the bar too heavy as it puts too much pressure on my shoulder and killsssss.


Back squat 40x15
Back squat 60x8

Did that 5 times and felt a nice burn. Definitely not used to these rep ranges anymore!

Cycled for 15 after as well.

How are you recovering and preparing inbetween sessions? It doesn't look too bad to me, I went from split snatching 70kg to only just being able to full snatch 70kg so it does take time.

Well the good news is I don't need surgery on my AC... the bad news is I don't have an AC to operate on!

The doctor seemed to think bench pressing 200kg was a reasonable suggestion to make as well.

Hopefully back lifting in a couple of weeks to a month which is good news also.

This is a great thread. I help out the Strength and Conditioning team at Warrington Wolves for their scholarship, so ages 15-16 and often parents there are surprised to see weights being lifted and are not so sure of it. There has been no published journals on stunted growth as a result of weightlifting and it is encouraged that in a controlled environment the athletes should lift weights.

I agree with the girl deadlifting, looks painful to watch but I guess she is still young and has time to grow. Kids are nuts and damage themselves as it is.

Went the gym, can't squat, can't leg press... played about with pistol squats and they seemed to work so I guess I'll get good at them for a couple of weeks. Awfully pissed off.

Nah, tbh I doubt the fracture clinic will say anything I should be ok in a few weeks just not in time for comp f**king so gutted!

Well, bad news. Smashed up my AC playing rugby yesterday some wa**er tackled me onto some wooden decking. Had an x-ray and nothing broken but my AC joint is unusually wide so have been referred to the fracture clinic.

On the plus side, did the first half of my Oly Lifting level one badge today, wasn't bad but if you were to do it make sure you can lift lol.

Keep plugging... you know as well as the next guy this is a b**ch of a sport!! You hit some you don't but it is f**king mega and you know it.

It also looks a good session to me... a PB? Can't complain!

Warm Up with bar overhead as shoulder are very tight
102xf not TOO far off annoying!
