What a rubbish session at the gym Tried to do some deadlifts. My lower back and legs are stupidly weak. Did 10 x 100kg 8 x120 kg 8 x 130 kg 5 x 130 kg Lower back went into spam and had to stop training. This is the problem. My lower back is weak but every time I train to make it stronger it goes into spasm. I don't nessasarily have to train for it to go into spasm.Sometimes it does that for no reason at all. It is not like a cramp that goes away after it while. It goes into spasm and it can be like that for days. It's very painful and affect all training I do. The only way to get rid of it is with a intense massage. Any advice out there to help me get rid of this problem would be greatly appreciated | |||

For somebody with a "weak" lower back you did excellent my good man! And you are right, Drews coaching were excellent. That is some seriously strong dude!!! It is almost impossible to think he only weights 79 kgs! | |||

Went to meet up with the boys in Kirkcaldy for my first ever experience of strong man training. These guys were brilliant. They took it easy on me and helped with showing me how things are done. It was my first time so I did nothing crazy. Did 120 kg Viking press (failed at 140),80 kg and 100kg barells over yoke (not sure of height guess it was about 1.2 m)155kg farmers walk and 200kg yoke. Like I said, nothing impressive but it's a start and I loved it. Thank you Gary, Lee, Martin, Drew and the rest of the guys. Everybody made me feel really welcome and it was a brilliant experience. Looking forward to round two! If there are anybody out there close to Kirkcaldy looking for a place to train go and see these guys. Brilliant! Thanks again gentlemen! | |||

Back in the gym after a two week lay off. Did nothing but eat for two weeks! Anyway did some chest tonight. Went ok. Not great but ok Flat bench: 80kg x 12 100kg x 4 110 kg x 2 120kg x 2 130kg x 1 140kg x 1 150kg (failed) 120kg x 4 110kg x 8 100kg x 10 Incline bench 60kg x 10 80 kg x 8 100kg x 6 110kg x 3 80kg x 10 Decline bench 80kg x 12 100 kg x 6 110kg x 6 120kg x 3 100kg x 10 Did better than I thought I would although there is some serious work to be done |
