yep tough crowd on this board lol

its not a tough crowd. whenever somebody posts a lift with nice form people are quick to compliment it. you asked to have your bench form critiqued and now people are telling you its bad and you don't like it.

weak points in lifts will always exist in the same place its biomechanics and will always where someone fails witj limit weight.

I Agree. A Raw flat backed deadlift with always be failed off the floor, a round backed deadlift will be failed at lockout, a raw squat will be failed out the hole, a raw bench will fail off the chest or just before the transition. in my opinion

Dietary cholesterol has little significant impact on blood born cholesterol.

Sure some things may carry over, but you don't need to worry about carryover to a lift when you actually train the lift frequently.
The majority of people and gym warriors naturally do westside style of training by maxing bench weekly and doing reps with accessory work. As soon as they move to linear the gains are much higher.
If I had 3 month to improve my lift by the biggest margin possible, I'd be training THAT lift day in day out with varying volume and intensity. The last thing on my mind would be how much I could box squat or close grip inclined board band press.

i can't agree with this more, practice the way you play, all the time spent on accessories could be time spent honing your form on the actual exercise doing more sets and reps,

I can't really disagree with that article. I'm gonna be degraded and abused for this but I really don't like equipped lifting and personally believe it holds the credibility of the sport back. Not that I'll ever have a sensible say in anything regarding powerlifting due to there being 8 year old girls in China who can out lift me.
Getting the s**t beat out you is an awesome part of powerlifting Imo.

when my family who no nothing about powerlifting came to watch me at a meet, they all couldn't get their heads around the concept of wearing gear and why people were using it, i explained it adds more to your lifts etc. all i got back was "whats the point?" and to that i had no answer just agreed i honestly don't know what the point is
