I can't seem to get any leg drive if I balance one end against my head/neck like most people do. This means I have to press the dumbbell over a longer distance but my legs are doing almost all the work. Is my technique transferable to giant dumbbells? | |||

Thursday 31st Jan 2013 Deadlifts doh 10 x 52.5kg bet on (never normally use a belt but nervous of back) 8 x 92.5kg 6 x 122.5kg 4 x 142.5kg 1 x 162.5kg fail mixed grip 1 x 162.5kg 1 x 182.5kg doh 6 x 92.5kg Taking it real slow as back is still very tender. Will try a rep on 200kg but multiple reps on 180kg today would've put me back to square one. Lat pull downs 12 x 40kg 10 x 50kg 8 x 60kg 4 x 70kg One arm dumbbell rows 10 x 30kg x 3 Back feels ok so will step it up a bit next week but don't wanna go too heavy before the comp mid-Feb. | |||

This routine will really add 10kg to my squat in 6 weeks? Can I keep doing the routine over and over and add 90kg in a year? That sounds insane but I'm up for trying it. Is it possible to train deadlift at the same time? | |||
