Don't have access that often but could use those rubber things that add thickness to a normal bar.

Are you using chalk?
90 seconds with 50kg dumbells walking about it pretty tough going, they are harder than farmers of the same weight that's for sure.

I can hold 130kg's for a few seconds. Yes loads of chalk. I guess 130kg's farmers is as hard as around 70kg dummbells?

The obvious choice but I don't have access to farmers handles every week and doing once every 2-3 isn't often enough I think.

I do 50kg dumbbells for 90seconds but maybe I should up the weight and reduce the time.

Yeah I get right underneath it. Think the technique is good, just grip not strong enough.

Well done on your pb mate.

I'm thinking of doing the RSR myself. 145kg seemed a low start for you given your 200kg max? My max is currently around 185kg, what weight do you think I should start on?

I need help!

My grip fails on farmers even though I can get moving pretty quick with them, so once I can grip properly I should be able to do well in this event.

Currently I do doh deads, 50kg dumbbell holds, some CoC and some 1 handed deads.

Anyone got any tips for number of reps, frequency or anything else I should be doing?

Thanks guys

Just some CoC as I was bored waiting for my Chinese Tongue

S x 30secs
T x 30secs
1 x 15 secs
1.5 x 10secs
1 x 10 right, 2 reps left
T x 30 right, 23 left
1 x 5 right, 2 left

Feel like it was working my fingers more then my forearms, but they're still fried and struggling to type this.

My origanal plan was 105's as there was no u90s in wales at first, but phil who was at the comp encouraged me to do u90,and am glad he did..
Found the eating hard at first but now its second nature although I do have my days were I'll binge lol...
Do what you think is right for you mate, strength will come what ever u decide to do..and good luck...
Next for me is royal counties then welsh u90...

Yeah I should be at royal counties too. Hopefully my back will be sorted by then and I'll be able to push you guys a bit in the deadlifting at least.

Dunno tbh. Not sure whether to stick at this weight and try the ESM southern qualifier or eat normally and train for next year's u105kg season. I'm much happier at that weight as I find eating right hard.

Either way I've got to get stronger though.

How about you?

Standard of the 90's guys was so high.... Well shocked me.... Good luck for the coming season and keep plugging away and pushing it as you are & ul do well mate!

Cheers mate yeah standard was well high. Thought I'd do well in the medley but everyone fit as well as strong. Much training needed if I'm to compete at this level. I'll look out for you at future comps.
