My training days have been changed around a bit as I'm training with ALWEBB72 and Wayne_Cowdrey tomorrow at Extreme Muscle gym in Ipswich where squats and overhead press are on the agenda so decided to do a bit of benching tonight instead of my usual overhead pressing session on a Monday.

Bench:

100kg x 5
110kg x 3
115kg x 3
122.5kg x 7

Incline Bench:

80kg x 8
90kg x 8
95kg x 6
105kg x 5
110kg x 3 New PB

Barbell Curls:

40kg x 8
50kg x 5
50kg x 5

Hammer Curls:

20kg x 10
25kg x 8
30kg x 6
35kg x 3 New PB

Dumbbell side bends:

40kg x 10
40kg x 10
40kg x 8

So I worked out today that I officially suck at straight bar curls! Was happy with my benching as I have been benching to high so changed my technique and found it a lot more comfortable but a little strange at first, thank you for the advice Al. Overall i'm happy with the session and need to add in barbell curls more as my bicep strength is piss poor at the moment.

I ordered mine of the internet from a site called Wynsors. Pretty cheap and a big selection.

Went to train with ALWEBB72 at Extreme Muscle gym in Ipswich. As always was a good and productive session. We started with bench which I managed:

1x120kg
1x130kg
1x150kg
160kg Fail!

We then moved on to push press:

1x80kg
1x90kg
1x110kg -FAIL
1x115kg which would have been a new PB but was failed in an epic and very loud way! No collars plus a lop sided lock attempt and the rest explains itself haha.

Finally squat which went:

1x100kg
1x120kg
1x140kg
1x170kg which was a new, very comfortable PB
1x200kg - FAIL!! Very annoying felt good in the descent but bottled it in the hole after getting it in my head 200kg was too big of a jump! This will now bug me on a daily basis till I manage to get it!

Overall a good session and got to be happy with a new PB.

Shame to hear that I had the privilege of watching him live at this years BSM, good competitor and seems like a nice guy from videos and what ive heard. Best of luck to him in the future and hopefully we will see him compete again.

Had limited time to train tonight so was only a quick session. Bench was on tonight's menu and this is how it went:

Warm up:

10x60kg
10x80kg

Working sets:

5x102.5kg
5x110kg
9x115kg

Nothing ground-breaking or spectacular but was happy as I haven't benched in a month or more, technique was a bit shaky but felt comfortable enough. Bench was followed by some incline barbell press which went:

10x60kg
8x80kg
4x100kg

followed by some core work:

weighted decline sit ups:

15x5kg
10x20kg
10x20kg

then 3 sets of planks for 30 seconds each.

Yea I suppose mate but after getting 10 reps of 200kg at the comp I thought i'd smash 185kg but didn't have the energy.
