Very subtle but I did feel like I slightly hitched it as it went over my singlet but it was hard to see clear on the video. Pulled singlet up and more baby powder and an extra bit of anger got me the third!

10/11/2012 - NIPF Raw Power Championships

Weighed in at 129.0 lightest in a couple of comps.

Squats

Bench 2: 170kg Fail - Decided to leave it there as I wasn't feeling great and to save some energy for deadlift to make sure I qualify for British Classic

All in all not my best day. 30kg down on my PB. Need to get caught up on some sleep and a rest week is in order to get my body ready to get at the training again. Will come back at next comp and beat that PB!

Forgot to put up training from last Wed. My last session before the comp and I was glad to get a decent one in after several less than great sessions.

31/10/2012 - Bench / Squat / Deadlift

Planned opener is 200 and 210 went up smooth after being pre-tired with the 170 x 5 and 190 x 3. PB is 220 so will see what goes up on the day.

Again pleased with that. Not sure if I am in PB territory but we shall see come comp time. More just hoping for a PB total whatever fashion its done in!

Decided to go for a new PB and it really wasn't the best idea should have just gone for a heavish double or triple. The 187.5 stalled at usual sticking point and I tried the 180 probably too soon after. Last heavy squats and deads tonight then rest until the comp next weekend.

Really felt good going into this session but it just wasn't there tonight. Not sure whether it is even worth trying for a new PB next week might just do a heavyish week then a very light deload session before the comp. Marathon not a sprint and all that! Still a dissapointing session. Need more sleep wee man lol

Second rep just wasn't there tonight. I became a father last Wed and haven't had the best week sleep wise as you can imagine so tonight was just not 100%. Best thing in the world though! The training will come back round in time!

Cheers John. I am doing the NIPF Raw Power on Nov 10th. (Northern Ireland Powerlifting Federation - recently re-affiliated with the GBPF)

I am really looking forward to it. My first full comp since Nov last year!

Pushed the main sets hard tonight and dropped the assistance stuff back a wee bit. Heavy dumbells will be back next week! 157.5 is a 5 rep PB I am almost sure.
