I appreciate steady does it Pete. But i have known people cut the heavy stuff out a couple of weeks prior to comp and get a shock on comp day when everything feels really heavy. Light work only from 7 days out sounds about right to me.

I am trying not to think about that. All the time i havent been training i have been eating as if i was. Essentially when i came back i was fatter than i wanted to be and weaker than i wanted to be and one of those things bothered me far more than the other.

If i do step on the platform again I am not coming down for it anyway. I may do a competition but i know my days of actually competing for podium are over. Also throwing is open weight class so extra weight can only help me there.

Once i hit my pressing targets (100 overhead, 150 bench) i will have a think about what i want to do weight wise. Part of me suspects I might just settle for being a strong little pudgy bas***d. There are worse things to be.
