Training from Thursday haven't had chance to post it up as been to wembley this weekend to watch Blackpool. Farmers 30m x 35 each hand 30m x 75 each hand 30m x 95 each hand 15m x 110 each hand 9.5 seconds slower than last week and really heavy 12m x120 pb never done 120 before Axle deadlift 8x50 6x90 Straps on 5x130 4x170 1x200 2x210 Stones over chest height yoke 5 x80kg 2x100kg Left it there wasn't happy but have lost my cofidence on stones since hurting my bicep 6 weeks ago | |||

Drop and turn at 10m Left it there as been having pain in my back but didnt feel anything so left it as was very comfortable Hammer curls 3 sets of 6 at 20kg Overhead medley Warm up - Log 40kg x 5 Axle 50kg x 5 Db 32.5kg x 5 Barrell 50kg x 5 Axle 70, dumbell 40, log 60, barrel 50. - x1 Axle 90, dumbell 50, log 80, barrel 50. - x1 Axle 100, dumbell 55, log 90, barrel 50 in 45 seconds failed at 2nd time through axle Was a good session and looking forward to yorkshires novice next weekend | |||

Hammer curls to warm up bicep 3 sets of 6x22 Lat pull down 8x12 blocks 6x15 blocks 4x18 blocks Really dont know what the weight is so just go of the blocks for the above. Axle Deadlift 5x90 5x130 3x170 1x190 1x210 Fx220 Fx220 Axle deadlift from 18 inch flatform 8x130 5x170 3x210 Worked these as my main problem with the axle is from above the knee. Seated shoulder press on olympic bar 8x40 6x60 5x70 1x80 Log press 5x40 ftoh one motions 5x60 ftoh one motions 3x70 ftoh first 2 one motioned last one stoped at chest 3x80 ftoh first 2 strict last one pushed 2x90 ftoh pushed Fx95 Nakered and was using it more to practice my ftoh Finished with 50 kettlebell swings with a 16kg one | |||

I'd say it would be a good idea as would give a stepping stone from 105 to opens. On the other hand though I don't think that there should be regional qualifiers and a national final at 120. Although in essence it would be more like a novice/ intermediate open comp | |||

Event Training Hammer curls 3 sets of 6x20kg Farmers Walk 75kg each hand - 30m drop and turn at 15m 95kg each hand - 30m as above 105kg each hand - 15m 110kg each hand - 15m 8.18seconds Overhead medley warmed up with 50kg axle - x5 40kg log - x5 30kg dumbel - x5 50kg barrel - x5 70kg axle - 40kg dumbell - 60kg log - 50kg barrell x2 90kg axle - 50kg dumbell - 80kg log - 50kg barrell x1 100kg axle - 55kg dumbell - 90kg log - 50kg barrell x1 Axle Deadlift 5x90kg 5x130kg 4x170kg 2x190kg 3x210kg in 75 seconds *PB* f x 230kg got to the knee but just cudnt pull it through good session today and now 3 weeks out from competition. | |||

Quite a boring session tonight as doing events tomorrow. Squats Started the Wendler 5/3/1 this weeks from the iPhone app. Just sticking to the working sets from it. 8x60 5x90 5x120 5x125 8x135 - not too shabby due to pain in my back from yoke again, was aiming for 10 so nearly there. Incline bench 8x60 6x70 4x80 3x90 1x95 pb Close grip bench 8x50 8x70 2x90 - judged this wrong should of gone for 80 Hammer curls 5 sets of 6x20 Looking forward to doing some event training tomorrow tho | |||

Did some events tonight and some back work Frame runs 20m x105. Drop and turn at 10m 20m x145. As above 20m x185. As above 10m x205. Done in 6.8 seconds 205 frame for 10m into 100kg sack for 5m. 23seconds Yoke 20m x120. Drop and turn at 10m 20m x160. As above 20m x200. As above 10m x260. In 7.8 seconds Left it at that as yoke has left my upper back quite sore from last time I trained it. Squats - went to see what 1 max was today as it's been awhile 5x60 5x100 3x120 1x140 1x160 1x170 1x175 pb Fx180 Fx180 Really struggled with my upper back with pain with weight on it must have a slight niggle. Seated shoulder press 8x22 6x27 5x32.5 1x37.5 Really need a 35 as the was just abit too much Single arm dumbbell press 40kg. 5 x left 5 x right 50kg. 2 x left 4 x right 55kg. 0 x left 2x right pb Incline bench press 8x60 6x70 3x80 Close grip bench press 8x60 6x70 2x80 Was only person in gym and didn't have a spot so didn't go to heavy. Hammer curls 6x20kg x 5 doing these to try get my bicep feeling better. Did alot tonight so can get some event training in on thursday | |||

Some training in the back garden today only got limited equipment and weight. Got an Olympic bar and 140kg in weights. Going to use it once or twice a week for some conditioning and extra work on my farmers as I have terrible grip. Also borrowed a set of farmers from my gym. Deadlift Fast 20x60 Slow 10x90 Squats - had to lift bar from floor to behind the neck for these. Fast 20x60 Slow 10x70 Strict shoulder press Fast 20x40 Slow 10x50 Farmers walk 20m x55 each hand 20m x75 each hand Wasn't enjoying this as spent ages turning as only got a 5m run in back garden so changed to some timed holds 105 for 10 seconds twice - grip is really a weak point for me and I really need to work on it. Then did 20 curls with the bar just for abit of bicep work. All done in 30 minutes nice quick session |
