Well done Sat mate... hadn't realised you had won because you didn't seem happy with your lifts at the time! Hope you can get that back right and smash some more 105's comps.

Sat 21st Feb Max Power Comp' Axle Deads (approx 12") Warmed up to 260kg 1. 300kg (not the best) 2. 325kg (better) 3. 345kg (quite comfortable) Bench Press (paused) Warmed up in a hurry to 170kg 1. 183kg (PB) 2. 190kg (PB) 3. 200kg - failed (not too far off) Squat (wraps & sleeves) Very rushed warm-up, was only allowed 100kg / 140kg / 220kg 1. 285kg 2. 305kg (PB) 3. 315kg (PB) I would have liked to have warmed up to 285kg and opened at 305kg, pretty sure I could have hit a bigger PB this way as 315kg went up quite fast (and me and Shane had worked out how to get my wraps right by the final lift) Log Press Warmed up with 85kg / 105kg / 115kg and then had to put opener in... 1. 125kg 2. 135kg 3. 145kg (PB) It was late and I was tiring but 145kg went up really well, no grind at all, 150kg may have been there for the taking but happy with another PB anyway. 995kg Total... if I had been keeping a running total mabe I would have pushed for 1000kg... but I wasn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQBIKVcx5kw

Post Edited: 22.02.2015 @ 10:09 AM by Ben_F Was a long night! Finished about 1am.Deadlift 345kg - could have done more but was happy to walk away with back in tact Bench (paused) - was expecting touch n go to, but had to wait for the command so was happy with 190kg PB and not far of 200kg (think 200 would have gone touch n go) Squat - 285/305/315kg (PB), again more there I think, legs felt strong... back would have limited to much more though. As time was pressing on we were limited on warm-ups... 220kg straight to opener of 285kg was not optimal Log press - everyone getting tired now... went 125kg/135kg/145kg for another PB... I wasn't keeping a running total (just going for PB's) so finished on 995kg for 3rd place... like to think I could have found another 5kg for 1000kg (almost certainly on deadlift). Shane has vids of all my top lifts except log (fell asleep i think ) Thanks to all the hard work the comp crew put in. And well done to all the lads competing, some very impressive lifts. U90kg winner: Scottie Pollock - beast! 850kg total I think u105kg winner: Ross - impressive despite injuries, hope back can get properly fixed one day Opens: Mariusz - static beast, comfortable win

Problems most often arise due to people trying to squat with their usual free bar form. If you place your feet a bit further forward and adjust accordingly it should be fine.
