Jonny, what squat shoes do you have mate? I will probably have to get some new ones next year. I have the old Polish lifting shoes they used to sell on Pullum and asolutley love them, I don't fancy the new Adidas Ironworks as they seem to have a higher heel and softer front. Anyone know if you can get the Polish ones anywhere still or something equivalent?

Guys, what does "Deadlift 2inch bar of 18inch platform" mean? I don't understand the wording, is the bar at 18"?

Young Kenny might make his debut in the U90kg but wants to test the events out first, he pulled 18 reps from 18" in 90 secs last night (bodyweight 70kg) so I thought I may have had it wrong?

cheers

I think the log is right at 100kg if its an IFSA spec log, but yeah maybe a bit more on farmers?

This is my proposed venue:

http://www.lancaster.gov.uk/Category.asp?cat=612

I manage the gym here. There is a seperate car park I can section off just to the left of the entrance as you look at it which will be handy for toilets/showers/cafe etc. If the weather is bad the static events could move indoors, possibly other events too but i'll have to look into that. Bit civilised for strongman i know, but I'm sure the hardcore competitors will make up for that.Wink

I'll liase with JT with regard to exact dates and events but agree the classics should be in there and hopefully the weights pretty consistent between the three events too. Hopefully we can set them early.

Should be good!Cool

JT, as previously mentioned - if you a need a venue in the NW (Lancaster) then let me know.
