Heh, heh, you can keep your tub off of stuff T. If deadlift is an event at England's and suits are allowed I may well get one. I'm not keen on equipped lifting but if its allowed and it helps me (as you say, tacky gives more on stones and definately helps me) then I would wear one, same as I would wear knee wraps on the squat if it was in there and they were allowed. Mainly just gutted I didn't get to see Iceman's tattoo.

I'm just as s**t at axle mate, besides I'll probably just be spectating/commentating! Axle would make a nice change I reckon.

Axle, floor to overhead any which way you like is what I would like to see.

Only just seen this thread! I will give due consideration to another U105kg comp'. (or other format) I would like to run one outside with a truck pull and stuff. Could use some help if I do though and would need to look at dates as it is looking to be a busy year. Just out of interest, what events have people always wanted to have a go at and make great entertainment (not just what you are bst at!). I am thinking: Head to head car deadlift or timed hold. Head to head axle overhead Truck pull Yoke race (got a lot of positive feedback form the North qual from the spectators on this one) A medley (e.g. farmers & tyre flip etc) Stones (set e.g. 100-170kg) all of these are very do-able. Jonny I will get event-by-event results up in the next day or so, bit slow cos off-line at home and trying to catch up with some work.

Had a great day, well run comp, running the U105s & opens together worked really well, pace of comp was spot on for me. It was the most nervous I have been for a long time and I messed up the deadlift by not sticking to my plan and got 8 reps when I know I can do 10. 3rd. Log, always my worst event, was happy enough with 2 under the circumstances even though my PB is 3. 5th (I think) Yoke, felt pretty comfy, slowish start (conscious of the potential 10 second penalty!) 16.6secs, again given the sight slope and uneven surface pretty happy. 1st Farmers, fastest I've done it I think about 20 secs, lost a little time fighting inertia on after the turn, fractionally slower than Tony. 2nd. Stone load, coldn't be caught in third and knew it would be unlikey i could catch tony as he is good at stones. Got 10 reps which is a big PB but only good enough for 4th or 5th. Happy with 3rd and looking forward to seeing what the events are going to be at the Englands. Well done to all the Sugden lads, some great performances.

PMSL at my "brother". I have been off work with stomach bug and all my event related stuff is there, I gave the top places to a colleague and think he has passed them on to the paper. I will buy you a copy of any that feature the comp JC. Cheers to all for your support with the comp', forgot to thank Millsy on the day for loan of kit and also Ste for doing the scoring which is a thankless task (next time I will have him sat behind a desk cos' it isn't made easier with people chipping in over your shoulder!). Well done to all the competitors for giving it 100% and making it a great comp to watch, loads of positive feedback from the local spectators.
