Nice push press pb! If the sleeves stop your elbow pain then I'd wear them all the time for a while if I were you, see if it helps stop it altogether.

Was starting to feel it on the shoulders a touch by the end. 150x10 CGBP - All Paused 60x10 100x5 120x3 140x3 150x3 paused pb 160x1 paused pb Incline Bench Barx20 60x10 100x5 120x3 100x5 60x10 I was going to take these a bit heavier but I was starting to feel it on the front delts a bit. Squats Barx10 60x10 100x3 Back / Leg wasn't happy so: Front Squats Barx10 40x10 60x10 80x5 100x5 60x10 60x10 60x10 Felt better than the back squats. My left leg was a bit off tonight from the sciatica. I had mild pins and needles in it, and it seemed to be working at about 80% strength so when I was squating / front squating I had to put in more effort with the left leg. Pretty offputting really, at least I got some done. Front Raises - 25Kg Plate, Side Raises - 10Kg Dumbbells x10x10 x10x10 x10x10 One Arm Cable Rows, both arms x10 x10 x10 Done

Post Edited: 25.10.2012 @ 21:40 PM by Bim Thursday 25/10/12Went to the doctors yesterday, I have sciatica, probably from an inflamed muscle pull, at least it's nothing to do with my spine. Got some stronger anti-inflammatories and codine to help with sleep, they both worked well and today is the first day it feels a touch better. Still a nightmare to put my socks on though Bench LotsxBar 60x10 100x8 140x5 170x5 170x5 170x5 170x5 170x4 The 170s' felt easy tonight, a lot better than last week. I got a twinge in the back on the last set when I was stabilising myself so I stopped. Floor Press, normal grip 100x10 140x5 150x3 160x3 - pb 170x2 - pb 180xf Strict Press out of rack Barx20 60x10 80x5 95x3 100x3 105x2 60x29 - pb, might have been a little bounce off the chest on the last few! I usually lean back quite far when strict gets heavy, but can't do that at the moment so I'm happy with the numbers tonight. Very nice deads there, 260x2 after that lot must have been hard work. Can see you getting that 290 soon, when you going to try for it?

Monday 22/10/12 Well the back has been giving me some stick over the weekend. I've been icing it and taking ibuprofen which does work, but it's a f**ker first thing in the morning and if I have to bend my lower back at all. I think deads are going to be off limits for a while :/ I wasn't sure how training would go tonight but decided to go but totally back off if there was any pain. Bench LotsxBar 60x10 100x10 140x3 160x1 180x3 paused 180x3 paused 180x3 paused All the 180's had a 1+ second pause, slightly varying grip width each set. Last reps were very hard. CGBP with bands, add about 25kg to the top of the lift. All as fast as I could go, about 30 seconds rest between sets. 85x3 85x3 85x3 85x3 85x3 85x3 85x3 85x3 Bench 140x10 140x10 140x10 Griping plates, some on fingertips, some with full grip 10kg x60 seconds 10kg x30 seconds 10kg x15 seconds 20kg x40 seconds 20kg x60 seconds Shoulder Press from Rack Barx10 40x10 60x10 80x5 80x5 80x5 Back was borderline on these, I was having to stay far more upright than I do normally. walker said:Not good mate, hope not too serious. Were you gonna go for a PB? I was going to see how I felt as it got heavy, and go for it if I was on form. Apart from the obvious the 200 felt good. Anyway, hopefully it will go over the next few days. The muscle I pulled doesn't even hurt any more, it's just what I'm assuming is a trapped nerve f**king about with a shooting pain in my leg. Pissed off as I was ready to pb on squat as well :/ Hope I don't have to just bench all next week

Friday 19/10/12 60x10 100x10 140x8 180x5 200x1 Pulled a muscle when I pulled the 200. It was an easy lift and still part of my warmup. It didn't hurt much when I did it, it just felt like a small muscle pull on the way up, I was even thinking of carrying on for a minute or two. Then I started getting a pain shooting down my leg when I tried to bend over at all. One of the guys I train with said it was the sciatic nerve getting trapped, whatever it is it f**king hurts at the moment, just hope it heals up for next week. Did a few very light squats Barx10 60x10 100x1 Felt the pain a little on the 100 so went home, bollox.

walker said:Strong stuff as usual. Nice PP PB pal, Sob is jealous!! Cheers, I was well pleased when I got it, locked it out for about 5 seconds Trainings very up and down this week mainly due to lack of daily routine which tends to effect me a lot but it will be back to normal again soon. I'm sure Sob will get 140 now he knows I've got it!

Thursday 18/10/12 My sleeping and eating are all over the place at the moment due to rl stuff. I fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon and woke up about 20 minutes before I started training, felt f**ked and nearly didn't go. Bench LotsxBar 60x10 100x8 140x5 170x4 170x3 170x4 170x4 170x3 170x3 Wanted 5's but it just felt very heavy. 150x7 - s**t. Bench Holds in the rack Put the bar on about the 5th pin so there was only about 3" to lockout, had a lift from spotter on the heavy ones. 140x10seconds 180x10seconds 220x10seconds 240x9seconds 250x6seconds could have probably got 10 seconds on the last two but I felt my right pec tightening so I bailed. Seated Shoulder Press with bands, not sure how much they add to the top but it was about 50kg at a guess, could have been 10kg either way though. 20x10 40x3 50x3 55x3 60x1 55x2 Lateral Pulldowns x20 x20 x20 Out of time :/ Done

Easy way to find out is to just take a week off, or take it very very steady for a week. Then go at it again and see how it is.

That's a lot of training you're doing with the cycling included. Are you staying properly hydrated? It can make a big difference to me, make sure you're getting enough fluids. |
