I did this with a strict press out of the rack and I'm still not really sure why I blacked out. It was a slow grinder and close to lockout my vision started to go and the music sounded all woozy. As I locked it I just managed to dump the bar in front of me, I woke up a few seconds late on top of it wondering why I was laying on the floor. I did hold my breath, but the entire thing only lasted about 5 - 6 seconds. | |||

The bench was slightly lower to the ground and a lot firmer, took a bit of getting used to but it's a lot closer to a comp bench than the one I usually use. It was harder lifting as well, I've got used to sinking down into the bench with my shoulders on the old one which put me in a slight decline position. Bench 20x20 60x10 80x8 100x5 120x3 140x1 160x1 180x1 180x1 120x5 140x5 150x5 Both 180's were a max and a fair bit harder than usual, hopefully just take a week or so to get used to the new bench. CGBP 60x10 80x8 100x5 120x5 140x5 Slingshot 140x5 150x5 160x5 Only just got the last rep Seated skullCrushers with a barbell 25x10 35x10 45x10 55x10 Machine tricep extensions x20 x20 x20 Disappointed, but just as well I've started on a decent bench now rather than later. | |||

Yep, 5's for now on squats and deads, getting heavier when I'm happy with the current weight, then probably 3's for the last 2 - 3 weeks. Something like that anyway, I don't follow a program more go off what I'm feeling like / how trainings going. On bench I'm still improving pretty quickly so I have a set of goals I want to reach and I just work towards them each session. So next goal is 160x5x4, I got 160x3x4 last week easily enough so this week it's 160x4x4, once I get 160x5x4 then the goal is just up 10kg. Ideally I'll hit 170x5x5 before the comp and a 180x3, if I do that I'll be on for a decent bench, they are both a fair way off at the moment though so I'll just have to see how I progress. | |||

SLDL, t&g 180x3 190x3 200x3 Bench 20x20 60x8 100x5 120x3 140x1 160x3 160x3 160x3 160x3 All good sets. Felt pretty good today, think I'll stand a good chance of getting 160x4x4 next week on bench. | |||

Felt about as hard as the 170 last week. 150x5 150x5 150x5 150x5 Started easy enough, got the last set with a grind on the last rep. 180x1, 5 second pause: CGBP 60x5 80x5 100x5 120x5 140x4 Cut the last set short as I was losing form Slingshot 140x5 160x5 Seated SkullCrushers 30x10 40x10 50x8 50x8 50x8 Good session, might give 180x2 a crack next week, think I'm getting close to it now. | |||
