Comp pb is 220, so that will go for sure, best single in training is actually a double at 240, I think I had just got 220x5 when I did that, so if it goes ok next week 220x5 will be the target for the week after, then I'll start dropping the reps and upping the weight. If I can get 240 @ 105 in this comp I'll be happy. | |||

Felt a lot better than Monday, I'll up it to 215x5's next week. Box squats 140x10 160x10 Todays CV! Leg press x10 x10 x10 Reverse machine squats x10 x10 x10 Great for the quads and glutes Seated ham curls x10 x10 x10 Standing single legged press x10x10 x10x10 x10x10 Thought I was going to have a s**t session today, sore throat, feeling light headed most of the day, and not much sleep last night. Weird, was one of the best I've felt in a while once I got going. Weight this morning was 16st 12lbs - 107kg, dropped a couple of lbs by accident over the last few days, time to get eating again! Might have something to do with missing the 170x3 bench on Tuesday. | |||

Tuesday 14/10/14 Bench 20x20 40x10 60x10 80x8 100x5 120x3 140x1 160x1 170x2 Just failed a third rep at lockout, should go next week with any luck. 170x2 Started a third set but my shoulder started to hurt on the press so I ditched it. Felt fine after, just a small reminder :/ Bench, all sets have +25kg of chains 60x10 80x10 100x10 120x10 140x5 CGBP +25kg chains 40x10 60x10 80x10 100x8 120x4 Seated skullCrushers with barbell 27.5x10 47.5x10 47.5x10 47.5x10 Hopefully the shoulder won't start playing up, it's been great so far, might be time for a steady session Friday. Bench strength is ok although gains are slowing, comp is 6 weeks on Sunday, so 5 weeks hard work still left. I wanted to hit 170x5 and 180x3 before hand but I think I'll have a fight on my hands to get those now. | |||

Monday 13/10/14 Squats 20x5 60x5 60x5 100x5 140x3 Belt on 160x1 180x1 200x1 210x5 Just managed this, don't think I'd have got another rep out. 180x5 Was hoping for 210x5x2 but the first set really took it's toll so dropped the weight back a bit. Deads 60x5 100x5 140x3 180x1 Belt on, mix grip 200x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 210x1 Repping every 30 seconds, kept them all fast. Deficits 180x3 200x3 220x3 240x2 Little bigger deficit than usual, not by much, but enough to notice. Could have got 240x3 but it would have been a grind, which I don't want at the moment. Squats feeling hard and deads feeling great at the moment. Might be time to start dropping the reps on squats, and upping the weights a bit, I'll see how it goes on Thursday. | |||

Friday 11/10/14 Deads 60x5 100x5 140x3 180x1 200x1 220x1 240x1 250x3 - At the new gym which has some great bars, but s**t plates. The clips came off and so did the 5's... Juggled the weights about a bit: 250x5 250x4 would have needed to hitch so I stopped. Back was a little fried after yesterdays squats so I was happy with this. Just going to build on the 250's for a couple of weeks now for hopefully a set of 250x5x3 then I'll up the weight. SLDL 190x3 210x3 230x3 Not too hard once the bar was moving. Bench 20x20 60x10 80x8 100x5 120x3 140x1 160x4 160x4 160x4 Happy with those sets, hard but no grinders, probably try 160x5's next week. I was down to 17st this morning as well, going to keep it at that I think now. | |||
