I think he needs to lose a few kg, but he is getting better. His Stones and brute static stuff are unreal!

They are, but, that's not the be-all and end-all with strongman... That's unfortunately where he falters IMO

Don't agree

I've said this for a while now and stand by what I say. It'd be great to see Ed win, but the way he is with his training and comps, he never will!

Thor and Shaw are leagues ahead of Ed when it comes to the shifting events, statically they can hold their own to an extent, Shaw more than Thor

Z, IMO, will peak at this years Arnolds and maybe WSM, but that's him done thereafter. He'll retire on a high and go down as the strongest man that ever lived... So far! No one has his accolades etc... But some will come close IMO

If Ed REALLY changes his game plan/strategy, drops body weight and ups his cardio and moving events techniques, he'll come very close to winning, or will win WSM... But until that happens, it's not going to come to fruition, sorry!

Agree re the Coc 2.5; if you can close and keep it closed, you're doing well

No.3 is officially recognised; so if you can do that, get it verified Grin

160-180 DOH axle dead and hold is very good too!

For me, plate pinches with smooth sides out really tests peoples grip! x2 15kg plates is a good start, x2 20kg plates is bloody good going IMO

Zs gonna do this, but just to keep himself in action and his blood moving!

He's so lean currently, he won't challenge anyone I don't think, saving himself for the Arnolds and maybe WSM next year and winning those to retire on top, IMO

Nice squat too though.

This!!! Grin

Anyways... What's with the trek with the bar away from the powercube, did you call a taxi to get back to it?! Wink Tongue

BMI is f**ked and has been since it ever came out!

At 6ft 4 and 136kg stone, apparently I'm an obese t**t and needs to be taken out and shot Grin

I train my ass off at the gym, lift hard and heavy and walk everywhere (probably cover 10-15miles a week easy)!

I'm happy, so f**k em all... Wink

The lass has a big deadlift, good on her... Like others have said; it's better than her sitting round, doing feck all and gaining more mass!!!
» 180 push press (Go to post)29-11-2016 @ 08:33
Bloody strong! Eek Congrats Grin

Most I've managed is 150kg and it nearly killed me!

I too have the bar racked across my shoulders/clavicles etc... It's much better for getting the push through the bar off the leg drive, rather than have it hovering above and losing that inertia!

I find it better taking the bar by rolling it towards me off the flat pins in the powercube that's at the gym I train at, better than taking it out of the pegs. But I know not everyone can do this!

500kg deads. Squatting huge for endless reps. 565bench for easy 6. Easy 200plus overhead. Come on,that's more rounded than a huge bench.

Might be, in the strongman arena, but you're comparing Hall (a Strongman) against Kiril (a powerlifter); so lifts need to be compared like for like, not who's got the biggest poundage on any/all lifts!

BrenWad said:Hall clearly has great genetics, but it's also clear to me he's been juicing since he was mid teens. Has the steroid look from 16 on up. His body is struggling with the volume of compounds he's jabbing and swallowing every day. Sarychev looks almost healthy-uber freak.

No matter what Sarychev may do, he has yet to achieve anything close to Hall in allround insane strength.

Apart from his paused 335kg bench you mean... Haven't seen Hall bench anywhere near that, yet!

Very impressive!

One question though... Why the f**k do they always have stick-thin spotters when some big dude is pressing heavy?! Stupid Roll-Eyes
» Dull ache in both arms when squatting and bench pressing (Go to post)17-11-2016 @ 11:36
Agree with the infraspinatus comment, but could also be the supraspinatus being a bit niggled and a nerve impingement...

Could maybe an impingement of your ulna nerve too which could give you numbness in your hands; that'd be more inline with a C5/C6 niggle, so a visit to an osteo would be in order, probably worth visiting a sports physio as well!

I've suffered and still suffer with all the above, its a sod at times and also means I don't back-squat heavy any more due to the issues I have with my C5/C6!
