Cleaning a big ass overdeveloped bar and then trying to get it's balance in your hands to press overhead... If it comes down, it comes down on you and around now, not like an oly bar that'll just drop the the floor ![]()

Post Edited: 18.01.2017 @ 11:40 AM by hifilover His 6 with 265kg (1st and last rep paused) is impressive...But not sure that he could take on someone like Kirill Sarychev who's paused 335kg IIRC... Or could he?! ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOeRI6MDyns

It can be useful for a couple of things and the bigger ones are good as a bench variation but certainly nowhere near an essential piece of kit If that's what he means, then yes, they're good. Great if you've shoulder injuries, neutral grip pressing is then the way forward... But agree, it's not an essential item, very much a nice to have IMO

Yeah... Mines been that my lower backs being doing most of the work my hip/pelvis should have been doing and my core is now starting to suffer, hence the pain over the last few weeks! Got certain exercises to do to try and kick start my pelvis/hip back into the right line, but they're hard as s**t and bloody agony at times haha ![]()

Just to update Been to see a sports chiropractor, as they concentrate/manipulate specific areas, whereas an osteo will look at the 'wider picture' etc Turns out its my right hip/pelvis that isn't firing properly, lacks rotation capability badly and is fairly sedate TBH! Had an hours session with some manipulation, cracking of certain areas and stretching of others... Will need to go back for a fair few appointments due to how 'stuck' it is... But bloody hell; it feels sore but better/lighter already having it released! However, no legs or lower back training for 3-4 weeks minimum, until he's happy with it's movement etc ![]()

Re Z; he only needs that 'one' rep! Same as the others... If Thor's strength can carry across to the log; he could be close with his attempt

One lifter i know was at a commercial gym and weighed a few plates to find they where mostly 1kg over! Yup... One gym I train at have some very thick cast 20kg plates... They're 21.4kg each! A nightmare if you don't know... Some other 20kg plates weigh as 18.9kg... s**tty if you haven't a clue which plates to use/avoid!
