Short warm up, in a rush. Spent too long chatting s**t...

140 x 1 - add wraps

180 x F - on most of these i felt like the bar was drifting forward.

Front squats (clean 1st rep)
50 x 3
60 x 3
70 x 4
70 for 2 x 3

DB bench press with fat grips. Supersetted with squats.
20 x 10
28 x 6
36 x 5
40 x 5
40 x 3

And outta here.

Anyone else find it difficult to pull in their normal deadlift groove from blocks? 1st time I've done it really so its technically a PB.
Really felt like the bar was drifting out in front of me.

I'm basically doing the push pull squat routine he laid out. Changed the sets and reps a bit (3x3 instead of 5 x 2 for some ex) but im really liking it. I'm doing more than just 3 days / week though.

I've entered the northern qualifier for Natural Strongest Man so pushing for that now. Gonna have to get to a gym to do some events training!

Tues 24th.

Foam rolling, mobility and tons of double KB front squats (20kg each hand).

DB press with fat gripz (neutral grip)
16kg (each hand) x 5
20 x 5
24 x 3
32 for 3 x 3 - rep PB

High pull snatch combo (2 high pulls then 1 power snatch) with straps
50 x 3
60 for 4 x 5

supersetted with bent over shrugs 5 x 10 - 12 @ 80kg

L-sits and cable twists to finish.

Mon 23rd

Warm up for 5 mins, bit of skipping, some mobility and foam rolling.

Push press (clean 1st rep)
bar x 10
55kg x 5
65 x 1
75 x 1
85 for 5 x 1 with wrist wraps.(90% 1rm)

Deadlift (hook grip)
85 x 2
100 x 2
120 x 2
140 for 5 x 2 (about 80% 1rm)

DB bulgarian split squat
20 x 5 each leg
28 for 2 x 5 each leg.

Some L-sits (on dip bars), planks and side planks to finish.

Gonna keep on training 3 - 6 times a week and doing a push, pull and squat everytime i train. Upping the volume a bit more and putting in more assistance work after my main exercises.

Missed training on thursday. Went out last night and only had 3 hours sleep before work so training was less than stellar.

Sat 21st. No warm up...

1 arm DB fat grips strict press

24 for 2 x 5/2/3 (ladders or clusters, whatever you want to call them.)

DB push press
32 for 2 x 3

Tues 17th.

Long warm up, lots of foam rolling and a bit of skipping and mobility.

Front squat (celan 1st rep)
bar for 10 - 15 reps to loosen up.
50kg x 3
60 x 3
70 x 3
80 x 3
85 for 2 x 3
60 x 5

High pull
60 x 2
80 x 2

Deadlift
100 x 2
120 x 2
140 for 5 x 2 - not exactly speed work but tried to accelerate as much as possible.
100 x 5

5 mins of ab wheel and planks to finish.

Squats felt really tough, wanted to jump from 80 to 90 but glad i went inbetween.
Deadlifts felt suprisingly tough aswell, dont know if thats because i was cleaning my squats first or what but i really need to get the deadlift up. i want 180 pretty soon!

Friday 13th.

Early session today so was half asleep through it. Just pissed about really. Traps and quads still sore. Gonna start doing more front squats and snatch grip deads again.

Warm up jumping rope and some goblet squats and mobility.

1 arm DB strict press (with fat grips)

16 x 5
20 x 5
24 x 5
28 x 3 - PB, any PB will do!
28 x 3
24 x 6

Chest supported rows
85kg for 3 x 8

1 arm DB bench press (with fat grips)
32 for 3 x 5
36 for 2 x 3 and then 1 x 5 - really liking these for helping to brace for benching. Maybe help make me more solid for overhead stuff?

Curls for the girls
3 or 4 sets of whatever with 16 and 20kg DBs. It is friday after all...

No pub tonight, work tomorrow morning...

Quads sore from yesterday, been a while since last did front squats.

Warm up skipping rope and goblet squats.

Clean and press

Snatch grip deadlift / ugly low pull. hook grip
100 x 2

130 x 2 - added straps

100 for 3 x 3 no straps

Strict press (clean 1st rep)
50 for 2 x 5

Felt decent enough, im going to stick with the same movement patterns for high frequency but maybe get a little bit of variety. For deadlifts im going to try and work at around 80% of 1rm. Think going much heavier a few times a week will be tought to recover from.

this. I'm just getting over a heart infection and blood clots in my lungs and being sent to hospital for a few weeks is scary.

Shower and start work, didnt realise what time i was meant to start work, so rushed workout.

I'm trying to decide what comps to do now, was hoping for a novice under 90 but maybe just go for ESM u90 northern or U80 and cut a bit. 85kg at the moment so wouldnt be massive cut...

90 x 1... Wanted 3 but 2nd rep got halfway and stalled.
90 x f. Just deadlifted it up, felt power go.

Snatch grip low pulls ( to upper abs)
100 x 3
100 x 3
110 x 3. Wanted to move up more but the Friday night gunz club was in. Busy as...

1 arm db bench press with fat grips.
36 for 3 x 3.

Few pull ups and an wheel to finish. In and out quick, feeling like I haven't done enough but the frequency should take care of that.
