WILLSAN said:good to see your training log on here mate! what are your comp aims for next year?

Hmm, not sure really mate. I feel strong enough now to really give u90 a good go. Ideally I would like to qualify for ESM this year and take it from there and also qualify for the naturals comp. Although if the u80 division were to take off I would feel more comfortable there for the time being. In regards to BSM u80, I think my aims are to podium. What about you mate? Plans etc? Will we see you at the Cauldron anytime soon?

Back squat - oly style
60*1
100*1
140*1
180*1
220*1
240*1
260*1

RDL
180KG 3*3

That was it for today as due to injuries i had to go play for the A team tonight down in exeter so cut the volume out. Squats were really good, went up easy.

Ha, I was chatting with someone about this only last week. We said it will only be a matter of time before they have you playing again. What position Bishy Block head? Surely not on the wing again? Also decent squatting chief!

And it doesn't sound weird that you've been a lurker in my log, i'll be in here pretty often too mate.

Ha, only a week of a bit of bodybuilding mate whilst I "de-load". It doesn't interest me enough. I will be back to more interesting things as of saturday I'm sure

Happy

Monday 28/11

Taking a de-load week this week after my max week last week and then moving onto a new programme next week. Enjoyed todays session but forgot how difficult the high intensity high rep sessions were, but feel it will do me the whole world of good.

Strict Press

Bar xloads
50kg x10
60kg x10 (3sets)

Barbell one motions

50kg x6 (4sets)

Shoulder lockouts from the pins at about eye height

60kg x10 (3sets)

Feet Up Bench

60kg x10
100kg x8 (3sets)

Close Grip Bench

60kg x12 (3sets)

Incline Bench

60kg x10 (3sets)

Decline Bench

60kg x10
100kg x10 (3sets)

Cable Crossover

Stack x12 (3sets)

Reverse Crossover

Stack x10 (3sets)

Then finished with loads of V-sit ups and crucnhes. And then ........

I did some concept 2 rowing coz it seems very popular on Sugden at the moment so thought I would join the hype. Did a few sets of 500m with my best time a very modest 1:45. This needs to be improved so I will probably do it every session in this de-load.

Thats it, got through it in just over 1 1/2 hours so happy days.

couple of SM comps still on the cards this year though! Happy
what are your comp plans?
didn't realise you were that good of a presser!
And whats this raw dog 235 squat?!

Comps I would like to do next year are midlands 90's, maybe Yorkshires, britains naturals u90's, BSM u80's and Dragons. And then anything that crops up.
And I'm defo not a good presser, its a big weakness and you confuse me this this squat comment. What do you mean?

Ahh good, I was about to sugest something along these lines. Try and get some sort of comp going, you no bit of friendly fire and a chance for JT to lie about how weak he is and then wow us all with his saturday strength.

Who is up for this? Names that first came to mind were JT, Skip, Hamster, Bish, JP, Pikey Dan, Andy and others like Daz and Richie Allen. Anyone else? Obviously split it into weight classes, maybe under 100kg and over 100kg.

Are you thinking no to a suit at 15" then mate. I pulled RAW of that height the other day and found it a real nice height to pull off. I do have short stumpy legs though. Do you find it a better height that 18"?
» Flash A-ah (Go to post)27-11-2011 @ 15:22
Hello Sugden my name is Danny Ashcroft, better known as Flash and have been training and competing for just over a year. I'm orgionally from Morecambe but have been living in Loughboough for over 6 years now. My comp history includes Olympic Dragon II, Midlands u90kg, Superstength u80kg (ANTS) and Olymic Dragon III. I have been training with JT and the crew at the container and the cauldron during this time and have finally been bullied in to joining Sugden and logging my training. Hoping to get some good feedback and helpful advice from the beasts of Sugden.

I've got a full book full of training but can't be arsed writing it out so am just gonna post the last weeks stuff coz I had a max week at the end of a tough 5 week programme. So here goes ....................

Saturday 26/11 @the Cauldron HTC

Was always gonna be a tough session after 2 1/2 hours sleep thanks to my shift at work dagging on but got some work in so all good in the long term

Farmers Walk

Took 4 trips of 20m with the minging 100kg suitcases that will be used at this years Midlands u105kg. Famers is a huge weakness of mine so really looking to work on these every week.

Strict log

47kg x6 (2 sets)
67kg x3 (2 sets)
77kg x1 (2 sets)
87kg x1 - this was a grinder so left it there, my body just wanted bed at this point. Considering I had a PB of 94.5kg on this last week I was annoyed but put it down to fatigue.

Stones (No tacky)

80kg to 45 1/2" platform x9 in 75 seconds

Inch Replica dumbells

50kg x2 (4 sets)

Then for fun I cleaned the inch which weighs 78kg. After this my bed was defo calling so I called it a day. Hopefully get more sleep and won't train on the friday next events session so I can post some more impressive numbers for all the Sugdener's.

So thats my weeks training and will hopefully be able to keep on top of this. Like I said any help, advice or constructive critique would be most appreciated. Oh and any of the guys that train at my place and know how to get the videos of my youtube on to here please help a bother out. Looking at you JT, Skip or JH. Cheers.
