I'm just wandering: back in the day did you train OL multiple times daily?

Your still making great progress training 3x weekly atm, was progress back then with loads of hours put in alot faster?

Oh how cool! my journal now has a pic. No idea where or how it got there but i like it!


Anyhoo just back from training and ive finally put 100kg from the floor to OH!! t'was a powerclean and jerk, felt good.

Thats goal no.1 down!

Typical that the camera topples off during the lift so i have no proof but i'll get it again soon!

Good session considering i was out till very early and only got about 4 hours sleep + had a few beers last night, yep you read that right littler Beers - next stop Guinness. It will go down as one of the best evenings yet i think!

Right - i went OH on fri but it was cronic. Was not feeling great at all. worked up to 90kg jerk and a 90kg SGBTNJ but i know if i actually got under the bar properly i could do more! I hardly dip at all

Been very busy and managed to geta last minute ticket for t in the park so i spent most of friday to monday rocking out!

Also some exciting news - I got the job i had an interview for ion Stockport the other week. Its a year long placement as part of uni degree.

Decided to lift today despite yesterdays OH work. I cant get to the gym tomorrow so i though i should do it now!

Not the best session to say the least, probably should have done cleans but snatches were the flavor of the day, i could not resist!

I dont know much, i learn through experience, but not to worry about anything but lifting while somebody else does the thinking for you, is the best way to go for me.
I find the snatch requires more attention than the clean on the whole, it may be a personal thing though. The roughlines you've been given look good to me.

Hey man! lol, i've started how i mean to continue!

My height is just under 6' and im currently weighing in at around 87/88kg. Ive been around this weight for a while now, a few more nights on the bells should see this creeping up i imagine - which is exactly whats planned for tonight!

Seriously nice deadlifting man!

200kg will be a great milestone!

The only thing a would say about the diet is the big gap between the 3:30 meal and 9:00 meal. Your putting a way a decent amount of food at each sitting but the 9:00am meal seems a bit light!

Ah i did not realise there was 2, i was looking at the right one though. I'll be heading home to Scotland straight after so i would be heading up the M61 before i join the M6.

Also you're taking the bar out of the racks like its a heavy weight. When you take the bar out of the racks even with light weights do it like its a small weight. Get your chest up, shoulders out and drop your elbows a bit (for jerking only, you cleans are fine).
Have a look at the last vid from Adders(Friday) and see how strong Wiggers takes the bar out of the racks. Thats what you want to be doing.Wink

Again today i could not get to the gym with a platform so did some OH work - which i a big weakness of mine

I will use this as a baseline to improve upon. I not sure whether to stick to 5x3 and increase the weight or to try and get to 5x4 with 60kg next week then 5x5 the next. Then go back to 5x3 with more weight?

Any ideas?

Also when doing the triples i noticed im strong off the shoulders then i seriously struggle once the bar gets to about forhead height then again at lockout as rusev said!


Then did some DB pressing and external rotations
