Bench

100 x 5
140 x 2
160 x 1
170 x 3 – felt easier than last week, still twisting though
175 x 1 – failed the second rep, didn’t feel to heavy but with my gay trap could not keep the line right.
160 x 1- failed 2nd rep, was going to go for 5 but again twisting badly
140 x 8 – easy but not comfortable
120 x 8 – just pumping reps out
120 x 8

Strict Military Press
80 x 5
85 x 5 x 2

Some bicep stuff

I may just do shoulder work next week, as OH pressing doesn’t seem to bother it at all, perhaps some push press, mil press and heavy triceps to get some work in.
If it’s not where I want it to be the following week I think I will likely pull out of this comp as a decent lift seems a mile off, at this stage I wanted to be on or around 185 x 5.

And I was 116.6kg this morning, WTF!!!

Word, I wouldn't go more than 140x3, 145x3 this week. As a target in this phases 150x3=162 on bench according to The Chart, and 140x5=161, so you're lining up nicely. Also, finishing this scheme by tripling your old single is traditional Happy.


Rick what do you need to triple on the chart to get a 220k max?

I will start with a 4 board for a couple of weeks then try a 3 board.When you bench to your chest now do it feel alot lighter on the joints because your lifting 10 to 20k heavier on the board presses?Also do you use a closer grip?
