thanks guys.

2 years ago I used to go heavy all the time, but after seeing Laurence S doing speedruns for the most time in videos it made me think to.

Now I usually don't go over 350 and for the most weeks I do speedruns with 300-320 for about 8-10 runs of 20-30m. The weeks going up to this max attempt I did 3 weeks speedruns, 1 workout 400 as max set, and the week before this I did 350 as max. This time the yoke felt so light I just wanted to know where the max would be.

And yes the recovery is much much longer. Did a good lowerbody workout but really felt the effects of the yoke whereas normally it takes me max about 3 days to recuperate.

In competition yoke always feels easier for me but then again almost all events feel easier on comp day due to the excitement for me.

Did 430 without a drop and the 455 with one drop. Previous best was 450 with 3 drops.

the turn is one of the things you have to practice because it makes a very big difference for a lot of competitors. With these long farmers I learned to actively try to force the farmers to turn back with my wrists from the start of the turn. If you don;t do that especially the outer farmers has the tendency to drift in a position right in front of your legs and you stumble.

Lol Simon !!!!!! I think on standard UK farmers impossible to go that fast do to the plates etc. you'd bang you legs

Would be good to get some kit over here that looks like that! Those farmers look absoutly awsome !

Yeah my own famers got loading pins with plates on it to, without it it walks better for sure. It is not very expensive to make these, on the internet there are a lot of people who got one from constructions. that is also how I got my own H beam farmers.

who is Shane? Speed is good on all events but I still need to improve on static power.

that is the standard I thought. Made all my own farmers with the same pickup height. Max on this height is 170kg farmerwalk for me, heavier is no problem for the grip but I can't get it up just yet from this height.
