slimsim said:Nice PB on the cleans! Whilst the sleep deprivation might make you feel like s**t it's obviously not doing your lifting too much harm at the moment. I see you also went straight back in to those mental zerchers!!! madman! Cheers mate! Was surprised I managed the PB, although it was only a strict press PB. (I've cleaned 95kgs before). Defo feeling those Zerchers tonight, got serious leg DOMS! haha!

Wiegieboard said:Well done with cleans. I find them an extremely satisfying lift to get a pb on. Even a kilo more is like lifting a mountain in the mind. Also, that setup's working just fine man. It's both humble and functional, just the way I like. Wiegieboard said:Doh! My phone didnt bring the strict press up on screen. Even better! Strong shoulder work! Cheers dude! Pleased to manage a PB after a 3 week break from training. Setup is definitely functional, just need to get some 'bumper plates' sorted (in the form of some space saver spare tyres) and I'll be able to do move the setup off the spongy grass and on to the patio

Post Edited: 08.02.2012 @ 21:58 PM by mrbeige 8th February - Modified overhead dayClean (on 1st rep) and Strict Press (4x1-3, 90%x3, 80%x5) warm-up 60x3 70x1 77.5x1 PB + 2.5kgs 80xF 67.5x3 62.5x5 Well, f**k me, I managed a PB after 3 weeks out. I'd have loved to see what I might have been able to shift 2 weeks ago. Perhaps the Ortmayer routine does work! Zerchers (some) 60x10 90x10 110x5 130x3 Feck, I was screwed after doing these! Seated Reg Park Presses (5x6-9) 20x8 20x6 20x5 17.5x5 17.5x5 Supersetted with Plate Pinching 5kg+5kg - 1min each side 10kg+5kg - 35secs each side 10kg+5kg - 30secs each side 10kg+5kg - 30secs each side 10kg+5kg - 30secs each side s**t the bed I was knackered after that. Clearly sleep deprivation has an effect. The Zerchers completely wiped me out! All good though. Chuffed I managed a PB on strict press though; total result!

slimsim said: Congratulations mate.....on the new addition that is, not the weight gain (although 7lbs in 3 weeks is admirable!) Trust me, I've got two of the little wallet vampires and sometimes you have to be a bit flexible with your training and training as frequently may be difficult, but it is definitely possible to train around them. You might just be a little zombiefied for a while. Cheers bud! Had intended to go to the gym tonight, but the 12mile drive home took 1.5 hours, so that put pay to that. Hope to try and get down there tomorrow.

Well, here we are, three weeks out spending some time with our new daughter, Evelina Marie, who arrived on 21st January, after a difficult delivery. She weighed in at 7lb 4oz, which is about the amount of weight I've managed to put on since! LOL! Sleep is somewhat missing from my life at the minute, as is any motivation to train, having had a couple of opportunities to but have preferred the comfort of my sofa! Not sure what the near future holds with regard to training, but I'm back to work tomorrow, so maybe that might put some routine back into my life, and as such inspire me to pick up some weights again. I'll try and catch up with everyone's logs in the next few days
