What a good day at the British Champs 3rd overall. 12.5kg PB total...competition PBs in every lift, and real PBs in squat and deadlift! Warm ups went pretty alright, plenty of space in the warm up area. Opened with 195kg, felt pretty good and nice to settle the nerves 205 was 2nd, went fine as i knew i hit it in the gym last week after 4 hrs sleep 215 came last, easy as piss! Maybe a bit more there. Bench 125 was easy but the commands felt like a lifetime 132.5 equalled my comp best...not fast, not slow. Looked better on video. Went to 137.5 for the 3rd to ensure i got it, and a 5kg comp pb to equal my gym best. Better than my 132.5.. deadlifts were a nice long warm up, and all went well. 230 felt a little slow at first but then i realised it moved quite well really. 250 next to conserve energy for my 3rd...piece of piss. 265 - nailed it. No messing, really happy to end on such a high. Sure thats a couple more Yorkshire records. Owen Hubbard was never going to be anything but top! lol | |||

Last one before sunday. Didnt feel great, but hopefully itll be just one of those days - get it out the way. Plus with it being light it never feels perfect. BW 81.7KG at 8am. SQ 60x3x2 100x3 130x1 110x3x3 Just felt a little tight. Will stretch today tomorrow and before i lift on Sunday. Heavier weights should help too. felt like s**t today - 5 days training in a row, 2 night shifts, yet more sleep problems and 2 blood tests... training alone sucks too squat up to 150x3 170x3 182.5x1 192.5x3 pb 202.5x1 not bad 170x5x4 sets volume pb bench up to 120x2 127.5x2 no spotter, maybe a bit shy on the pauses, equal pb 115x5 pb 115x5 115x5 115x4f5 still satisfied deadlifts 145x3x5 new belt isnt comfy on deadlifts yet... |
