Nice one Sam, im looking forward to doing low reps with heavy weight again soon, the high reps at the moment are just until ive got rid of this cold.

Also how many reps have you ever managed on the 3plates/140kg bench press? over 20reps?

Dude I use to be the same but decided that in needed to change and forced myself to use the clean technique and it's 200% better so I think you should try, it will take a while but it's worth it.
It's the tortoise race for me and a slow build up so 135x5 next time.

Youll certainly have the 135kg x 5reps next time, ill put grub on it!Tongue Happy

Awesome front squatting Neil, ill say it again though... there's more in the tank judging by how controlled & fast those reps looked! Also its cool how you can grip the barbell like that....i lack the flexibility so have to used crossed arms technique Roll-Eyes

Great stuff Chris! I reckon you should be able to put up some big numbers in the one-handed deadlift, what with you overall strength.
You have awesome pressing strength. I have none. If only I could make the rest of my body as strong as my grip LOL

Thanks Nick, for me the secret for big pressing is pressing regularly, training the assisting muscles, getting sufficient sleep & nutrition Cool

Ill let you know what i manage to one-hand dealift when i get round to trying it, i think its going to be a challenge to get the balance right when performing the one hand version deadlift

kirkynick said:Hi Chris! What are you actually training for? You msut have a mighty grip... have you ever tried one-handed deadlifts?

Hello Nick, im basically training in strongman/powerlifting fashion at the moment i do intend to be a grip specialist in the future (LONG way to go i know lol)...also i want to achieve a raw world class bench at some point in my lifetime

One-handed deadlifts (on a normal Olympic bar i presume)? Not yet tried them, i might have a go next week to see what i can pullHappy I remember watching your video of one-handed dealifts and i was very impressed! Time to get your mitts on some grippers my friend youll do well im sureCool Happy
