Yeah she's really strong bud, she got 7th place at last years worlds strongest woman with a terrible chest infection, hardly any prep etc

The push/pull in December yeah, proper prep starts next week.

Just watch the videos as for who's stronger etc can't remember what happened with that but don't think there was a bet but definitely found deadlifting tougher than expected since taking gear etc my glass back has just not cooperated, though for the most part I've just not been lifting heavy other than pressing, focusing much more on coaching Becca or gripsport.

I don't see why she couldn't do that total in the future it would just depend on injuries and how much she wanted to do it. Neither of us have done powerlifting lifts. Plans for this training cycle have her top out at 245kg ssb for 3, me at 305kg for 3, her deadlift 230kg + 50kg bands / 300kg eccentrics, mine 280kg + 50kg of bands / 365kg eccentrics. Neither of us bench normally, I think I did 150kg for 8 close grip last cycle. Her maybe around the same with 100kg but this is always after everything else. Powerlifting isn't really in the thought process at the moment to be honest.

I for one read it but I'm sure there's plenty of others that do too.

May have been favourite to win for some but in reality as you said, final events just not good for you an I think that's a great performance overall.

Becca's went really well, floor speed was similar to the 230kg total she pulled 2 weeks back and block pulls massively improved since then. ME bit s**t speed, but just glad to get it done as couple days before tried to do some pressing and body was like lolz f**k off. Massage was brutal last Sunday, still very much beat up from it. I do feel it's helped a lot though, can actually feel my lower back now so can start to build it back up as definitely very weak now and upper back / traps feel way less restricted. Negatives felt relatively comfy at 280, will be doing 3 sets of 300 next time and 300 total off the floor. Going to change the block height by standing on the deficit board, get it a bit more below the knee. Wanted Becca to push the block pulls and she ended up not doing the negatives this time, will be 3 sets of 250kg next time for her and 260kg total single. This was the biggest jump of the prep, just up 10kg every 2 weeks now so hopefully be alright from here on though is some big squats to do also.

Yeah i suppose its not a bad thing really but its strength i cant use and would get injured if i did so have to be careful. Both comps got moved forward so that didnt help but that basically whats happened each time ive tried to come back to strongman. I can shift the weights but then get injured doing so as body isnt conditioined to actually doing it.

Becca is going for a 600lb deadlift at this comp in December. She hasn't done too much heavy deadlift lately herself so getting back into things now. Only 2nd workout back into heavy squats. I think 3 sessions back on log here.

So doing a comp in December, just push pull, haven't done any real heavy lifting other then pressing in ages, mainly because i had tennis elbow in both arms for a long ass time like year and a half and also back / hips have been an issue. The tennis elbow seems to have completely gone finally and back / hips have been gradually getting better over the past couple month so fingers crossed wont be issue going forward.

Issue going forward now is probably that im a big fat f**ker now 27 stone got to 28 last time 'supplementing' on hardly anything so essentially I'm kind of too strong at start of shifting heavy stuff for my own good so really need to hold myself back weights wise and just try an stay in one piece.

Oberst actually has a great shot at top 5 this year (yes so do others) if he makes the finals and doesnt f**k up, works on his fitness and speed etc You guys seem to have zero comprehension of what diffence the actual events make, the finals are more or less all his best events plus deadlift and thers two top guys out.
